Your mission:
The primary responsibility of the Marketing & Entertainment Manager is to support and drive strategic marketing initiatives and deliver on a cultural program of entertainment for guests to enjoy and experience at Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch. This includes understanding and expressing the essence of Virgin Hotels through a multi-layered marketing and entertainment strategy - from supporting with partnerships, entertainment and programing to the development of a 360-marketing strategy to achieve revenues and grow awareness for the hotel and food and beverage offerings.
This position requires a strong foundation in hospitality marketing, content creation, an eye for cultural trends and experience with music programming.

The Hotel:
Bringing the brand back to where it all began, Virgin Hotel London-Shoreditch brings personalized hospitality to Shoreditch. Like its counterparts in the UK and US, the hotel offers the unmistakable Virgin experience, personalized hospitality, top-notch amenities, and a prime location in one of London's most vibrant neighbourhoods.
Located at 45 Curtain Road the property will see a phased transformation of the 120-bedrooms and 14 Suites, as well as the hotels street-level lobby lounge and café. The hotel's offering also includes the our vibrant new outlet, Hidden Grooves. Guests further benefit from access to the rooftop bar, swimming pool, Marlins Mediterranean restaurant, gym, and treatment rooms that form a sophisticated private members club sanctuary run by Blue Marlin Ibiza.
The (Super) Power of Marketing + Entertainment:
Atmosphere and ambience is key . Okay we know we are repeating ourselves, but this really is core to the Virgin Way. Maintaining and overseeing the brand experience in all guest spaces is essential to the success of the hotel.
Implementation experience is a must . The Marketing & Entertainment Manager must have experience taking ideas from concept to real life. An understanding of the process required to execute a strategy and creative vision and a handle on practical considerations (cost, timing) is critical to success in this role.
Gets their hands dirty! The Virgin culture, starting with Sir Richard, is a roll up your sleeves kind of place. The Marketing & Entertainment Manager must be willing and capable of developing the strategy + creative vision, but also able to effectively communicate and execute their ideas and vision, without hand holding or lots of administrative support.
Rage Against the (overdone) machine Were looking for someone with a personal philosophy thats compatible with the Virgin approach; forward thinking, innovative, on trend and with a sense of fun and excitement. Were tired of the same old, same old and we believe our guests are too.

Marketing Strategy & Execution
Assist in developing and executing annual and quarterly marketing plans for the hotel and F&B outlets, aligning with key business goals and KPIs.
Support the maintenance of a 120-day rolling F&B marketing calendar; contribute to regular analysis and performance reporting to guide content and strategy shifts.
Coordinate on-site promotions, partnerships, and activations to drive awareness and foot traffic across hotel outlets.
Content Creation & Digital Presence
Create marketing content to support all marketing and entertainment initiatives, in collaboration with internal and external resources, including but not limited to video, photo, social media, PR, email marketing, website and multi-media content.
Ensure that content on all owned digital assets is up to date as well as content on third party digital sites that feature the hotel and the F&B outlets.
Lead the content strategies including planning and management of the social media content calendars and email marketing calendar.
Monitor social media accounts and respond to guest comments and inquiries in a timely and brand-appropriate voice.
Gather content on-property to support storytelling, including event recaps, partner spotlights, and programming highlights.
Understand our brand, products and customers to ensure content meets the marketing strategy and reflects the brand.
Work with HOT in reviewing digital and printed creative pieces and ensure they are consistent with brand guidelines.
Cultural Programing & Guest Experience
Must have and maintain a high-level of knowledge and awareness of local cultural, fashion, and music scenes to help shape programming that feels relevant and buzzworthy.
Collaborate with th e Entertainment Consultant to align marketing efforts with cultural programming and ensure promotional support for events and activations.
Curate and program events that reinforce brand identity - through music, mood, activations, and local partnerships throughout the hotel.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts to support a cohesive guest experience, from visual merchandising to atmosphere elements like lighting and background music (in collaboration with the Consultant).
Assist the property and the brand team with the production of offline events that promote the cultural relevancy of Virgin Hotels.
Promote the hotel and the brand through networking and partnering with like-minded brands and organizations that help maintain Virgin Hotels relevancy in the music, fashion and entertainment world.
Communications & Reporting
Oversee local PR agency in ideation and execution of traditional PR strategy and manage media requests and coverage tracking.
Track marketing efforts, compile campaign performance metrics, and contribute to regular reports for internal stakeholders.
Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the F&B outlets and hotel stays competitive in the local market.
Maintain, update and grow various guest databases and build weekly and monthly email marketing campaigns and newsletters targeting these audiences.
Lead, attend and contribute ideas in weekly F&B Marketing meetings, weekly PR and Social Media calls and monthly Digital Media calls.

Startup experience in launching new brands and experiences a plus.
Minimum 10 years marketing/ entertainment experience and previous experience in a hospitality setting.
Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United Kingdom.
