In addition to its direct-to-consumer business, DeMellier is stocked in leading department stores such as Net-a-Porter, Selfridges, Saks Fifth Avenue and Le Bon Marche among others. Beyond creating beautiful products, DeMellier's mission is to be a force of positive influence in the fashion industry. Creating products by women for women, made with integrity while giving back to those less fortunate. For every item sold DeMellier funds vaccines and medical treatments aimed to save the life of a child in need.
The role
We are seeking a visionary Marketing Director to lead DeMellier’s global marketing, brand, and communications strategy. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to strengthen brand positioning, inspire storytelling, and deliver measurable results. As a member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how DeMellier shows up in the world from our brand values and customer journey to the way we engage with the press, influencers, and our loyal community. You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning brand, PR & influencer, content, customer marketing, and creative, working in close partnership with e-commerce, product, and operations to ensure brand and business goals are aligned. To be successful in this role, you will be able to operate effectively at both strategic and hands on level.
Main Responsibilities
MARKETING STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP
Define and execute DeMellier’s global marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, desirability, and sales growth.
Translate company objectives into marketing plans with clear priorities, budgets, and KPIs.
Act as a brand guardian and thought partner to the Managing Director and Founder, shaping the next chapter of DeMellier’s story.
Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
BRAND BUILDING & POSITIONING
Strengthen and evolve DeMellier’s brand positioning, ensuring it is clearly articulated, distinctive, and competitive in the luxury landscape.
Champion DeMellier’s brand values and ensure they are consistently communicated across all channels and markets.
Safeguard the clarity and consistency of DeMellier’s brand identity across touchpoints, ensuring all marketing reflects our ethos and aesthetic.
Monitor competitor and market trends to refine brand positioning and maintain a leadership edge.
PR, INFLUENCER & PARTNERSHIPS
Define and execute a global PR and influencer strategy, securing high-quality media placements and cultivating strong industry relationships.
Lead structured gifting programmes, ensuring goals are met and ambassadors are aligned with the brand.
Oversee events and activations that bring the brand to life and generate media and influencer engagement.
Grow and optimise affiliate relationships to support awareness and revenue goals.
Build and manage a network of stylists, editors, influencers, and cultural tastemakers aligned with the brand.
CONTENT & COMMUNICATIONS
Lead the content strategy across owned, earned, and paid channels, ensuring storytelling that resonates with our audiences.
Oversee editorial planning for campaigns, social media, email, and digital platforms.
Act as the ultimate sign-off on all brand content to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with strategy.
Ensure brand messaging is consistent, inspiring, and aligned with DeMellier’s values.
CUSTOMER MARKETING & INSIGHTS
Develop and execute customer marketing strategies that increase engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value.
Champion a deep understanding of our customer, ensuring insights are embedded not only in marketing but also across product, operations, and overall company strategy.
Oversee CRM and lifecycle marketing, ensuring communications are personalised, relevant, and data-driven.
Partner with product and design teams, using customer insights to help inform new product development (NPD) and market opportunities.
MEASUREMENT & PERFORMANCE
Define marketing KPIs and ensure effective tracking and reporting to measure impact.
Analyse campaign results, competitor activity, and market trends to inform decision-making.
Balance creativity with commercial acumen, ensuring marketing efforts deliver ROI.
What you’ll need
15-20 years of experience in Marketing
Proven experience in luxury, fashion, or lifestyle brands, ideally with international exposure.
Strong expertise across brand building, PR, influencer marketing, content, and customer engagement.
Track record of using customer insights to drive strategy and inform new product development.
A balance of creativity and analytical rigour, equally comfortable briefing external partners or presenting performance metrics.
An inspiring leader with experience managing and scaling multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Commercially minded with a strong grasp of budgets, ROI, and growth levers.
Passionate about craftsmanship, sustainability, and the future of luxury.
