About the role
You will be responsible for growing Believ’s recognition as a partner, a network to use and a brand to work for. This role will identify and apply core marketing techniques, including digital marketing and social media, PR and thought leadership, events and other activities to drive business success.
You will lead our marketing team and develop and execute strategies to drive growth in three core areas: Brand, Network and Consumer. You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing and communications activity supports Believ’s growth plans, initiating campaigns, supporting business sectors, digital marketing activities, events, PR and lead generation.
As a commercial marketeer you will drive measurable business growth by aligning marketing activities with overall business objectives, prioritising the big picture and broader commercial goals, including revenue, market share and customer acquisition.
You will develop comprehensive marketing strategies considering market analysis, customer segmentation and competitive positioning, and use data-driven analysis of sales data, marketing campaign performance and customer feedback to inform decisions and optimise results.
You will manage a significant marketing budget, monitor spend and impact, and refine the strategy. You will work closely with sales and commercial teams to provide an excellent platform to drive leads and grow the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
Client Marketing and Sales Support:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute client marketing strategies and tactics that support goals throughout the business pipeline including Public Sector, Private Sector and Consumer-related requirements
- Plan and manage PR and Comms strategies related to new and existing customers to support pipeline activities and goals
- Plan and manage events, virtual engagements, and digital marketing initiatives to support sales objectives
- Review and manage creation of compelling sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials
- Establish a digital marketing strategy to meet Believ’s business goals, including social media, digital advertising, SEO and more
- Collaborate with Liberty Global, Virgin Media O2 and Zouk as required to utilise relevant resources, experience and channels
- Explore new opportunities, channels and tactics to support Believ’s growth through partnerships
Consumer Marketing:
- Establish collaborative relationships with Consumer and Product teams to review, refine and develop Consumer Proposition
- Develop and implement consumer marketing strategies to increase charger utilisation and customer loyalty
- Oversee messaging and communications to ensure consistent, impactful content across all channels
- Use data-driven approach and feedback loops to refine marketing tactics to meet business needs
Brand Management:
- Create and execute a clear brand strategy to grow awareness and consistency across Public Sector, Private Sector and Consumer audiences
- Lead Believ PR and Comms to drive brand awareness and engagement
- Be the custodian of the brand, ensuring usage aligns with guidelines and awareness increases
- Lead efforts to evolve Believ’s brand identity and positioning, ensuring consistency across materials and touchpoints
- Ensure brand consistency and review feedback loops, market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy

About you

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and skills:
Qualifications and Experience
- 10 years of experience in marketing in a relevant sector, or fewer if in the EV charging sector specifically
- 5 years experience in a relevant people leadership role, or fewer if in the EV charging sector specifically
- Degree and postgraduate training in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred but not essential
- Proven experience in the EV or related industry with understanding of market dynamics and consumer behaviour
- Demonstrated success in developing integrated marketing strategies in relevant B2G & B2B businesses
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Experience in sales and bidding in the EV charging sector; EV B2C experience is beneficial
- Experience selecting and working with externals/agencies

Location
The business is based in Southwark. This is a full-time, hybrid role with 3 in-office days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
