Job TitleMarketing CoordinatorOverviewMain purpose of post: To promote CCA’s activities through press and marketing, media channels and monitor press and marketing activity.DetailsHours of work: 7.5 hours per week, to be worked during normal CCA office hours (noon–6pm, Tuesday–Friday, one Saturday per month on agreement with the Director)Salary on appointment: £5000 per annum (£25,000 full time equivalent)Duration of post: Permanent, subject to successful completion of a six-month probationary period with three-month reviewsPlace of work: Centre for Contemporary Art Derry-Londonderry, 10–12 Artillery Street, Derry–Londonderry, BT48 6RGResponsible to: DirectorRole Overview: Working with the Director to promote CCA’s activities through press and media channels and monitor press and marketing activity.Main responsibilitiesDraft and maintain social media postsMaintain up to date venue and event information on listing sitesMonitor social media, press and online reach monthly and as necessary for stakeholder reportingDrafting, proof-reading and distributing press releasesCoordinating distribution of print publicityGeneralDealing with press enquiriesAnswering the telephone and press email accountDuty managing CCA - keyholding and answering questions from the publicOther reasonable duties as requestedKey ResponsibilitiesSocial mediaPrint mediaDigital promotionsPress contactsProvide monthly press and marketing informationSocial MediaDraft and schedule social media posts for approval by DirectorMaintain, moderate and post social media posts – Facebook page and TwitterCreate event pages on Facebook and invite contacts to eventsDownload digital media Insights Data on a monthly basis – to send to Director for reportingMaintain and update Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube, VimeoPrintMaintenance of printed material deadlines - adverts/posters/leafletsBooking adverts and when necessary liaising with designerSend approved print adverts to publications contactCoordinate distribution of printed materials – posters/leafletsDigital PromotionsMaintain and update listing sites with events and exhibitions – active listing sites to update regularlyAmend copy and images for listing sites to suit contribution guidelines – to be approved by Director and/or Public Programmes CuratorOccasionally update listings with opportunities and jobs at CCAWiden and diversify listings where appropriateMaintain and remind digital press deadlines – including e-newslettersWrite draft copy of CCA promotions for digital e-newsletters (where appropriate)Distribution of digital publicity materials such as PowerPoint screens and GIFsProof reading of web and occasional updatingWrite draft copy and proof-reading of press releases and distributing to mailing listsCreation and distribution of exhibition invitesSend event information to appsOtherLiaising with local press to arrange visits/interviews for exhibitions and occasional events at CCALiaise with Director and Public Programmes Curator for regular meetingsCoordinate distribution of events posters to local schools and nurseries - for events suitable for children and familiesUpdate and maintain Marketing and Communications Plan and ensure all deadlines metArchive press articles – print and onlineMonitor online activity via Google Analytics, Mailchimp etc.Maintain and uphold brand guidelines in all marketing activityAssisting with Guest Titles and Publications – logging and uploading new titles to the online shop and assisting tracking salesPerson SpecificationEssentialExperience: 2 years Press and Marketing experience; Demonstrate accurate record keeping; Working to time constraints; Experience of working with internal and external customersAttainmentsUndergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience; Adobe CS; Microsoft Office; Google Analytics; Google suite, Mailchimp; WordpressSpecial AptitudesExcellent spoken and written English and ability to produce concise and accurate information; Able to understand and use basic business planning and budgets;
