Marketing Automation Manager
New Today
MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.
Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO.
We’re making new and exciting things – and we could really do with your help.
The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) team strives to deliver personalised, omni-channel experiences that deepen the connection between MOO and its customers. Each touch point is an opportunity to deliver remarkable experiences for customers, while building greater lifetime value potential for MOO.
MOO is seeking a Manager, Marketing Automation to join the CRM team to deliver (and evolve) omni-channel lifecycle marketing for our self-serve customers. This role is central to driving revenue growth from returning customers by getting the most out of our marketing automation platform, Braze.
You’ll manage a small team (currently two direct reports), ensuring delivery of customer campaigns and programs, while pushing forward innovation in how we use Braze—expanding automation capabilities beyond email into channels like site personalisation, direct mail, and paid media integrations.
We\'re looking for a data-driven, performance-centric Manager, Marketing Automation to elevate our customer marketing capabilities and lead our automation efforts for our self-serve customer base. You’ll be responsible for expanding our capabilities in our customer marketing automation platform (Braze), and for leading the team responsible for the day-to-day execution of self-serve email and automated campaigns. This role is central to delivering timely, relevant, and personalised customer experiences that drive engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
This is a hybrid role based in London.
Responsibilities
- Lead Marketing Automation Execution: Manage day-to-day campaign builds and automated customer journeys in Braze, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, accurate, and impactful.
- Optimise Email & Omni-Channel Programs: Lead on the delivery of self-serve customer lifecycle strategies, with email as the primary focus while piloting and scaling additional Braze-powered channels (site personalization, direct mail, paid media, etc.).
- Grow Returning Customer Revenue: Drive measurable impact on customer retention and revenue by building personalised, data-driven journeys.
- Manage & Mentor Team: Lead a small automation team, providing guidance, coaching, and career development support.
- Partner Across Teams: Collaborate with CRM campaign strategy, e-comm, creative, analytics, and data teams to bring to life revenue-driving customer experiences.
- Test & Learn: Establish a culture of experimentation within your team, designing and analyzing A/B tests to continuously improve performance, and collaborating with our customer analyst on the experimentation roadmap for self-serve customers.
- Champion Best Practices: Stay on top of Braze’s evolving feature set and marketing automation best practices. Lead the implementation of new tools, processes, and integrations to improve campaign sophistication and process efficiency.
- Measure & Report: Monitor campaign performance and share insights, driving continuous optimisation.
- Maintain Strong Email Deliverability: Monitor deliverability trends in Braze, utilizing external tools when needed, to ensure optimal deliverability of self-serve customer emails from Braze.
- Partner with Engineering and Analytics: Ensure Braze receives the right data, and in formats usable for segmentation, personalisation, and reporting for self-serve automation programs
About You
- Proven experience in CRM or marketing automation.
- Expertise in marketing automation platforms (such as Braze), possessing the ability to build complex, data-driven campaigns across the customer lifecycle.
- Experience translating customer lifecycle strategy into scalable, testable, and performance-driven automations.
- Analytical mindset with an ability to use data to tell a story and make decisions.
- Strong prioritisation skills; able to handle multiple initiatives and priorities of the marketing automation team.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Nice To Have
- Familiarity with HTML for email, data integrations, and tagging implementation (e.g. Liquid in Braze) is a plus.
- People management experience
