Marketing Automation and Email Specialist

The job holder will work with a wide range of teams in a range of locations and will have an important role to play in driving our evolution to a truly digital company. The role requires an energetic, creative and commercially minded individual with strong knowledge in email marketing and lead generation.

Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert in automated campaigns, UTM set-up, tracking, management, and system management.
  • Support the wider PSQ marketing campaign teams, paid media, and event teams in setting up CRM campaigns and UTM tracking to ensure MQLs are captured and tracked accurately, providing data-based recommendations for campaign automation and best practices.
  • Maintain and improve company-wide processes to ensure quality checkpoints are in place as part of the email deployment process.
  • Check emails for content best practice, branding, deliverability, accessibility and optimised customer journeys.
  • Build automation journeys and email templates to support the wider marketing campaign teams in generating leads and engaging customers/prospects.
  • Use Form Assembly to capture all PSQ MQLs, optimise the lead form and information captured to ensure a smooth customer journey while capturing meaningful information for sales to follow up and win conversions.
  • Draft and send emails to engage with PSQ marketing prospects and customers, promoting PSQ qualifications, newsletters, events, etc., to trigger new MQLs and cross-sell/upsell leads.
  • Work with marketing teams across PSQ UK to achieve email marketing KPI targets and provide monthly and ad hoc reporting on email marketing activity to improve impact of campaigns.
  • Deliver training and guidelines on email marketing platforms to business and marketing teams; encourage the use of split testing, segmentation, personalisation, automation and dynamic content functionality.
  • Ensure best practice is followed in the maintenance, accuracy and legality of email data lists; work with marketing and data teams to run regular data cleansing and engagement campaigns and ensure the integrity of automated data feeds.
  • Be a leading voice for GDPR and data privacy law and compliance for email qualifications.

Requirements and expectations

  • Strong email marketing and lead generation experience through effective email campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in using Form Assembly and UTM with full integration to Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of lead channels and sub-channels.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in using Pardot and Marketing Cloud to draft and send emails.
  • Strong ability to create email templates, automation journeys, and conduct A/B testing in Pardot and Marketing Cloud.
  • Understanding of marketing automation and what makes an effective email campaign.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to make consultative recommendations based on data and best practices aligned to business objectives.
  • Experience with web analytics and digital analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of conversion rate optimisation through lead form optimisation, marketing automation and email automation journeys.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to collaborate and support a wider marketing and sales team and work with the technology team.
  • Ability to seek creative solutions to problems and engage with the values and vision of the organisation.
  • Ability to set and follow processes with high attention to detail, while being flexible to adapt as markets or situations change.

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of Marketing Automation Platforms, preferably Pardot and/or Marketing Cloud, Form Assembly, etc.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Strong understanding of UTM tracking, Google Analytics, SEM and SEO tracking.
  • Ability to pick up AI-related marketing skills and new systems rapidly and follow processes systematically.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and its impact on the marketing funnel.
  • Desire to learn and stay ahead of marketing automation trends; relevant B2B marketing knowledge.
  • Data and lead management experience.
  • Degree in digital marketing/marketing.

Role location

This is a hybrid-working role, whereby you’ll work flexibly between home and offices. London office area bases are preferable.
