This role is based on annualised funding from the Scottish Government.Job DescriptionThe DYW Marketing & Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing and creating captivating content & events for use across multiple communications platforms to promote the work of DYW and the wider Education Team.The role is pivotal to ensuring that the voice of Ayrshire young people, educators and employers is heard and evidence of good practice is showcased,Use of multiple social media platforms, e-newsletters, website updates and editing content for the Chamber quarterly magazine are all crucial to supporting the team to increase engagement with key stakeholders.Creation of new content- filmed and otherwise is important to keep communications fresh and relevant to each stakeholder group. This role will plan, produce and promote new content.The role also has capacity to offer additional support to the team as and when required and add to value to the roles in our wider education team by supporting schools with event coordination.In addition this is a supporting role for communications to the wider DYW school Coordinator network.ResponsibilitiesPlanning & developing a comms plan to support the Regional Group and wider education teamOversee external communications for good news stories, event promotion and other relevant activitySupport employers and other external stakeholders to promote opportunities across communications platformsBe responsive to interactions through the social media channelsLiaise with DYW School Coordinators to promote opportunitiesCreation of monthly virtual calendarSupport schools to plan and run events in schoolManage event planning and communications for DYW eventsSupporting the Employer Engagement agenda by contacting employers/partnersAttending meetings and events with employers and partnersPerson specificationEducated to degree level or have equivalent work experienceExcellent interpersonal skillsExperience of managing external communicationsEvidence of strong stakeholder engagementExperience in event managementHold a valid Drivers License and have access to a vehiclePlease note that this role is subject to a Disclosure Scotland check.Email Cover letter and CV to glongmuir@ayrshire-chamber.org #J-18808-Ljbffr
