We are looking for an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the brand, events marketing, and digital presence of a unique charity in Milton Keynes. This is a hands-on, creative, and standalone role where you will shape the voice of the organisation and ensure its stories are shared with audiences far and wide.
You will be a marketing all-rounder who has a passion for bringing history and innovation to life. You will enjoy creating inspiring campaigns that drive engagement and boost visitor numbers.
Your responsibilities as a Marketing & Communications Manager will include:
- Leading the development and delivery of a data-driven Marketing & Communications Strategy that aligns with organisational goals.
- Driving attendance and visibility for a calendar of special events, family festivals, and lectures.
- Overseeing brand identity and messaging across all channels, ensuring consistency and impact.
- Developing and delivering integrated multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, PR, and events).
- Growing and engaging audiences through compelling storytelling, social media, and digital campaigns.
- Cultivating strong relationships with press, partners, and cultural organisations.
- Managing budgets effectively and reporting on campaign performance.
- Supporting weekend and occasional evening events as part of the museum's public programme.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years' experience in marketing & communications, with a strong focus on events marketing.
- A proven track record of developing and delivering successful marketing strategies that grow audiences.
- Excellent digital marketing knowledge, including SEO, social media, email campaigns, and website management.
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships with media, stakeholders, and partners.
- Organised project manager, skilled at juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Comfortable working primarily on-site and supporting key events at weekends when required.
