Most importantly, their direction and mentorship prepares students at The Rivers School Conservatory for a lifetime of musical learning.Position SummaryThe RSC Marketing & Communications Manager plans and implements the promotion of all programs, ensembles, and events for The Rivers School Conservatory through digital and print materials. Strong writing and design skills are required.ResponsibilitiesWritten CommunicationsSend weekly newsletters to parents/guardians, and quarterly newsletters to full mailing listWrite approximately three blog posts per issue for each quarterly newsletterWrite and distribute all press communicationsPrint Content CreationDesign print materials including, but not limited to, brochures, program books, flyers, stickers, T-shirts, postcards, and posters, while utilizing RSC's branding guidelinesWork closely with vendors and program directors to manage print production timelines and delivery, as well as procuring quotes and approving proofsDigital Content CreationDesign and coordinate all digital content for RSC, including social media accounts, email blasts, ads, and in-house TV signageManage the RSC Instagram and Facebook pagesSpecial EventsPromote annual events, including the Rivers & RSC Jazz Festival, Seminar on Contemporary Music for the Young, and Holiday PopsCoordinate outreach events as assigned, including family orientations, open houses, trial lessons, and admissions receptionsOther DutiesWork closely with off-site videographer for scheduling recordings/live stream and content distributionSet up and manage online ticketing for concerts and special eventsManage and update the RSC websiteManage and maintain RSC's Mailchimp mailing listThis position may be required to provide additional support on weekends, evenings, or be on-call occasionally (ex: taking photos at events/rehearsals, communications about school cancellation, Holiday Pops set up)Archive digital assets, including videos and photosQualificationsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent project management, time management, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to efficiently and accurately produce print and digital assetsInterest in and working knowledge of classical and/or jazz music highly desirableFacility in MailChimp, Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Microsoft Applications, Dropbox, Google Drive, Wordpress/Wix; Photography and/or video editing skills a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a small teamAbility to prioritize requests from faculty, administrators, staff, and parents2-3 years experience in marketing & communications preferredRivers encourages interest from candidates who will enrich the diversity of identity, experience, and perspectives among our professional and school community.
