Marketing & Communications Assistant
to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across a wide variety of projects, working with different teams and stakeholders, and helping to raise the Institutes profile internationally. Marketing and Communications Assistant , the role: Write and proofread copy for emails, social media, publications, and wider communications Support production of the quarterly Marine Professional membership magazine Upload, edit, and optimise video content for IMarEST TV and website platforms Maintain the Institutes digital archive, ensuring new reports and publications are added regularly Coordinate and promote the Institutes awards programme, liaising with judges and nominees Track engagement and provide insights on content and communications performance Support student engagement initiatives and help develop future membership pipelines Assist with event organisation, including conferences, dinners, webinars, and lectures Provide cross-team support to Marketing, Engagement, Membership, and Policy colleagues Represent IMarEST at key industry events, generating leads and raising the profile of the Institute Marketing and Communications Assistant,
the person: University degree or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of digital tools and publishing platforms (websites, video, social media) Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail Confident communicator, able to engage effectively at all levels Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Interest in science, engineering, or marine technologies is desirable Curious, proactive, and a strong team player Marketing and Communications Assistant,
