Overview

Pinsent Masons is seeking a Marketing and Business Development Manager to lead business development initiatives for the firm's Retail, Sport & Hospitality sector, focusing on strategic positioning and hands-on client engagement. Location: Any UK office location. Our standard working hours are 9:30am–5:30pm, and flexible working requests will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a business development strategy for key subsectors of the Retail, Sport, and Hospitality sector, aligned with the firm’s global goals.


• Identify market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics to shape the sector positioning.


• Drive the creation of high-impact thought leadership that showcases the firm’s expertise and insights in the sector.


• Identify speaking opportunities, panel engagements, and media placements to elevate the firm’s profile.


• Enhance the firm’s visibility in the sector through campaigns, events, sponsorships, and digital initiatives.


• Create compelling, client-centric propositions that clearly articulate the firm’s value in addressing sector-specific challenges.


• Build and manage a pipeline of priority clients and prospects across key international markets.


• Support partners in deepening relationships with existing clients and converting new opportunities.

Qualifications

The role requires experience in leading business development initiatives and sector positioning for Retail, Sport and Hospitality, with a focus on client engagement, thought leadership, events and digital campaigns, and cross-border market development. Candidates should be able to develop sector insights, articulate value propositions, manage a client pipeline, and collaborate with partners to convert opportunities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. Flexible working arrangements and UK location are supported.
