Summary
In the online travel industry, success requires balancing short-term volume and margin optimization with a strategic view of market dynamics and competitor, customer, hotel, and regulatory responses. We are seeking a senior leader to craft Agoda’s global marketing strategy and execute it using a wide range of tactics and tools, including price display and machine learning algorithms. You will coordinate with Agoda’s senior management, marketing, and product teams, while leading and expanding a team of pricing campaign managers and analysts.
What you will be doing
- Support the development and execution of global marketing strategies in alignment with Agoda’s business goals
- Collaborate with Product and Market Development teams to implement key initiatives and drive improvements across all channels
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and local market intelligence to inform business decisions
- Design and launch initiatives and campaigns that balance short-term objectives with long-term strategic goals
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and managers; participate in hiring and onboarding new team members
- Manage budgets related to team initiatives and ensure efficient allocation of resources
What you need to be good at to succeed in this role
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for working with data to drive business decisions
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Experience in pricing, revenue management, or a related analytical field; experience in online travel or e-commerce is a plus
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and cultures
- People management experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing team members
- Experience managing budgets and delivering results against financial targets
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a get-things-done attitude
- Exposure to product development, technology, or working with IT teams is an advantage
