Job Overview: At Thrivecart, we empower thousands of entrepreneurs to sell billions of dollars worth of products online. Our platform is the engine behind their success, and we're looking for a CRM pioneer to build the communication engine that fuels our next stage of growth. We are seeking a strategic owner to architect our entire customer communication strategy. This isn't about just managing existing campaigns; it is about crafting the entire journey from lead to loyal advocate. Your first challenge will be to lay the foundation for this vision by leading the upgrade of our tech stack, which will unlock new capabilities for personalization and growth. Responsibilities

  • Architect the Full Customer Lifecycle: Design and build the entire customer journey, leveraging deep product usage data and custom database attributes to create highly personalized, automated experiences. This includes:
    • Lead Capture & Nurture: Capture new leads and engineer intelligent nurture streams for both in-market and out-of-market prospects.
    • Activation & Onboarding: Create powerful, multi-channel onboarding sequences that drive users to their "aha!" moment faster.
    • Retention & Churn Reduction: Identify at-risk segments and build automated campaigns to re-engage them and reduce churn.
    • Expansion & Upsell: Drive expansion revenue by promoting upgrades, new features, and cross-brand opportunities.
  • Build Our New CRM Foundation: Lead the migration from HubSpot and Drip to a modern marketing automation platform (e.g., Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo). Manage evaluation, implementation, and data migration to build a new stack with data and platform architecture that supports AI-driven predictive segmentation and personalization in the future.
  • Orchestrate Multi-Channel Campaigns: Leverage the right channel for the right message (email, SMS, WhatsApp, in-app messaging via tools like Appcues) to create a cohesive, personalized customer experience.
  • Be the Engine of Data-Driven Growth: Be data-driven, relentlessly A/B test, analyze campaign performance, and report insights to optimize approach.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience in a similar, high-impact role.
  • Led a CRM migration with hands-on experience moving a company from platforms like HubSpot or Drip to a modern system such as Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo, or similar.
  • See CRM as a growth lever focused on revenue, lifetime value, and churn reduction, not just open rates and click-throughs.
  • Strategic doer: Able to build high-level plans and also hands-on in the tools to build campaigns, write copy, and pull data.
  • Own your results: Strong measurement discipline; share what works and learn from losses for the team.
  • Natural collaborator: Partner with Paid Media, Content, and Product Marketing to create cohesive journeys and amplify results.
  • Technical and creative: Architect complex automations and craft compelling copy with customer psychology insight.
  • Autonomy and ambiguity: Set goals, identify opportunities, and build plans without step-by-step instructions.

Nice to Have Skills

  • A proven track record of building and scaling a CRM function; formal degree is less important than results.
