Join to apply for the Headway Tyneside - Marketing Trustee role at Headway Tyneside

Every 90 seconds, someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with a brain injury. Headway Tyneside provides information, opportunities and skills, and a vibrant supportive community to enhance the lives of people affected by an ABI.

What difference will you make? You will be able to see your efforts rewarded by more service users and increased funding. In addition, you will be able to see directly the difference we are making to individuals' lives.

What are we looking for?

You will likely be a marketing professional or have other relevant experience or background. You will be self‑motivated, but keen to be part of a supportive team of professionals who do amazing things! You do not have to have a direct link to the ABI community, but you should be interested to learn about their needs and stories.

What will you be doing?

Headway Tyneside is run by a voluntary Board, whose members bring a wide range of skills and experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic new member of the Board who will have particular interest in developing and executing a new marketing strategy for us.

We want to build the visibility of Headway Tyneside, to reach more people in the ABI community and to increase our profile with potential funders and the wider public. We believe there is a virtuous circle we can create linking more service users, a wider range of activities, presence in more parts of our region and more funding opportunities. Even our current service users tell us that we could be more visible!

  • Collaborate with the Board and staff to align marketing initiatives with strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Marketing professional with relevant experience or a strong background in marketing.
  • Self‑motivated, collaborative, and eager to work within a supportive team of professionals.
  • Passion for the ABI community and a willingness to learn about their needs and stories.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence and mobilize support from potential funders and the public.
