Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end marketing strategy for a portfolio of commodities-focused conferences, summits, and award shows.
Develop integrated, multi-channel campaigns across email, digital, social media, content, partnerships, and PR.
Drive audience acquisition, lead generation, and delegate conversions in collaboration with sales and sponsorship teams.
Manage and mentor a team of marketing generalists, working alongside in-house digital and content specialists to deliver impactful campaigns.
Oversee campaign performance, analytics, and reporting to ensure KPIs and ROI targets are achieved.
Collaborate with the Conference Production team to align messaging with event content and industry trends.
Partner with the Delegate Sales team to deliver targeted campaigns that support conversion goals.
Work with senior stakeholders across technology, data, and operations to ensure systems, processes, and insights optimise marketing outcomes.
Lead brand development for the events portfolio, ensuring consistency, creativity, and market impact.
Monitor competitor activity and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Skills & Experience
Proven track record in leading marketing strategies for B2B conferences, summits, or award shows (commodities sector experience highly desirable).
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing both generalists and marketing specialists.
Demonstrable success in demand generation, audience growth, and delivering ROI through multi-channel campaigns.
Excellent knowledge of digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and data-led marketing.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to collaborate effectively with sales, sponsorship, and production teams.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
This role requires a senior-level events marketing expert and preference for international events company / energy or commodities background.
