Head of Marketing | DTC | Manchester | Salary up to £95k Basic
This is a pivotal leadership role for a Head of Marketing who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving eCommerce environment, balancing growth planning with day-to-day delivery. The Head of Marketing will own the marketing roadmap, driving acquisition, retention, and brand performance while making a measurable impact on revenue and customer lifetime value.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and delivery of a multi-channel marketing strategy to drive growth and strengthen brand positioning.
- Own and optimise the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation across performance and brand activity.
- Drive acquisition through paid channels (Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube), optimising for ROAS, CAC, and LTV.
- Build and execute a retention strategy using CRM, email, SMS, and loyalty programmes.
- Collaborate with trading, operations, and product teams to align campaigns with launches and commercial goals.
- Develop engaging content and social strategies, leveraging influencers and community activity.
- Guide and mentor a small team while managing external agencies and partners.
- Analyse marketing performance, reporting on key KPIs and making data-driven recommendations.
- Identify new growth opportunities through emerging channels, partnerships, and market trends.
- Ensure all marketing activity supports customer lifetime value and long-term brand equity.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Proven background in eCommerce and digital marketing within consumer-facing businesses.
- Strong track record in performance marketing with a deep understanding of paid media, attribution, and optimisation.
- Commercially focused and data-driven, with experience delivering measurable growth.
- Hands-on with CRM, lifecycle marketing, and retention strategies.
- Confident managing external agencies and partners, while supporting a small in-house team.
- Comfortable working at pace in a business where priorities can shift quickly.
