Head of Marketing (B2B Events)

Location: London (3-4 days in-office)

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to take ownership of the marketing strategy and execution for a flagship UK event. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll shape the brand, lead a talented team, and deliver high-impact campaigns that drive audience growth, engagement, and commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the overall marketing strategy for a large-scale annual event
  • Lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals across digital, content, and design
  • Manage the full marketing budget, ensuring ROI and effective resource allocation
  • Oversee multi-channel campaigns (digital, social, print, PR, partnerships) to maximise reach and engagement
  • Drive audience acquisition and retention through data-driven insights and innovative approaches
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and external agencies to ensure alignment and impact
  • Monitor performance metrics, reporting regularly on campaign effectiveness and audience growth
  • Safeguard and evolve the event’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all channels

About You

  • Proven track record in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within events, exhibitions, or B2B marketing
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
  • Skilled in digital marketing, brand management, and integrated campaign delivery
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience developing high-performing teams
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to manage budgets and deliver measurable results
  • Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Creative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
