Job Description

Our client, an independent asset management firm specialising in alternatives and private markets products, is seeking a Head of Marketing to join their team. This role will report to the Head of Distribution in their London office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Coordinate and manage annual events calendar including investor briefings, conferences, and webinars
  • Lead creation of high-quality investment content including fund presentations, factsheets, and due diligence questionnaires
  • Produce market commentary and thought leadership pieces for institutional audiences
  • Act as key liaison between marketing team and investment managers to translate complex strategies into compelling messaging
  • Support distribution team with bespoke content and pitch materials
  • Build and manage high-performing marketing team as business scales
  • Provide mentorship, performance management, and professional development opportunities
  • Manage relationships with external press and media outlets
  • Coordinate press releases, journalistic contributions, and promotional campaigns
  • Ensure brand consistency across all public-facing communications
  • Oversee vendor relationships for event logistics, digital marketing, and creative services
  • Ensure all materials are accurate, compliant, and tailored to target audiences

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior marketing role within financial services, preferably asset management
  • Strong understanding of investment products, markets, and regulatory frameworks
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, particularly for technical and investment content
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional relationships, especially with investment professionals
  • Highly organised with experience managing complex projects and timelines
  • Experience in event planning and vendor coordination
  • Familiarity with PR strategy and media engagement
  • Degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred
  • CFA or IMC qualification advantageous
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms and CRM systems preferred
