About Your Team

The UK Events team supports our Investment Solutions & Services and Global Platform Solutions businesses, delivering best‑in‑class experiences to a broad spectrum of customers including end investors, financial advisers, wealth managers and institutional consultants.

About Your Role

Fidelity’s extensive in‑person and online client events programme serves Wholesale, Institutional, Personal Investing, Workplace Investing and Adviser Solutions channels in the UK. You will lead the team responsible for delivering these key touchpoints to a varied client group.

Alongside team management, you will bring expertise in events management and investment communications to shape stakeholder agendas, brief speakers, approve content and work with third‑party vendors to develop engaging client experiences.

You may also provide consultancy and guidance on best practices to stakeholders across the wider business, including corporate and employee events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of three specialist events managers responsible for the logistical delivery of the UK events programme, coordinating and prioritising resources as needed.
  • Develop and support the team to achieve their potential, establishing goals, training and individual development plans.
  • Collaborate with channel marketers and senior business stakeholders to agree on plans, objectives and success metrics for the UK events programme.
  • Maintain management information and reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of events spend.
  • Build constructive relationships with stakeholders across the UK businesses, including Sales and Marketing, Investment Directing and Portfolio Management.
  • Lead development of the event proposition for proprietary programmes, including positioning, agenda, speaker briefs and content review and approval.
  • Work with investment team stakeholders and channel marketers to fulfill sponsored event content needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to evolve a contemporary, best‑in‑class events experience.
  • Ensure events comply with financial promotions regulation, health and safety, and security requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage large‑scale events programmes.
  • Attention to detail and the capability to manage and prioritise multiple projects.
  • Strong team player who can work with minimal supervision, make decisions and thrive under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical understanding of investment products and UK financial services industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Some direct experience of corporate events management would be preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to forge effective relationships across the business and with vendors.
  • Advanced IT skills and an analytical mindset for events reporting and evaluation.
