How You Will Do This
Lead and Align our Business Development and Marketing Functions - Collaborate with your team to ensure new business and marketing work hand-in-hand, from generating the right leads to delivering a respectful, relationship-driven sales process. This includes the link in to the broader business and preparing to support our customers well beyond their buying experience.
Define Our Go-to-Market Strategy - Refine and execute our customer first business development strategy in a way that fits the sensitivities of our sector, securing team alignment and buy-in while keeping a close watch on market trends and competitor activity.
Create Clarity and Focus - Define priorities and streamline processes so the team has a pragmatic, dependable foundation for delivery, growth, and adaptability. And enables then to perform effectively and achieve their potential.
Champion Insight-led Decision Making - Develop insight led mentality and use data and insights that are actionable, and add value now and in the future
focusing on what truly matters rather than simply measuring activity.
Support Change with Care - Lead with empathy and awareness of the impact of change, ensuring psychological safety and building trust across the team during times of transition.
Deliver Integrated, Values-led Marketing - Oversee the marketing function to ensure messaging and campaigns are sensitive, aligned, and effective in building awareness, generating quality leads, and supporting commercial objectives. Ensuring we grow our digital marketing capabilities, move forward with greater insights and support the team to progress effectively. The mentoring and leadership of the marketing team is key in covering, in part, the maternity cover of the current Marketing Manager. Ensure our new branding standards continue to be embedded and brand discipline is retained.
What You Will Bring -
Your Specifications
Proven senior experience in commercial and/or marketing leadership roles.
Track record in leading B2B customer relationship based business development teams and improving pipeline discipline and results.
Ability to balance financial outcomes with long-term customer relationships.
Identify focused opportunities to invest time and effort that will delivery value to our customers and support our financial performance.
Skilled at leading teams through change, with a focus on clarity, safety, and trust.
Hands-on marketing experience across digital, traditional, and event channels.
Comfortable leading our marketing and event presence at the NFE Event in 2026
Strong understanding of consultative sales principles and values-led growth.
Familiarity with CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) and marketing automation tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Essentials
Proven success in senior business development or marketing leadership roles.
Experience developing and executing strategy over 1224 months time windows.
Hands-on marketing experience across multiple channels.
Experience leading teams with empathy and discipline.
Desirables
Experience in a values-led or sensitive sector (e.g., bereavement, healthcare, charity).
