GROW Your Future (GYF) is a Widening Participation (WP) initiative, designed to support students from underrepresented and/or disadvantaged backgrounds, by providing a gateway to accessing additional targeted careers support and activity. GYF offers opportunities through a variety of initiatives, and aims to be a supportive student community.Role overviewAs a GROW Your Future Marketing Assistant, you will support the GROW Your Future team by focusing on the student experience, requiring specialist marketing and communications knowledge to promote GYF to students, and the many activities this includes to the GYF student community.If you have any questions about this role, please contact Hannah Bell, Careers WP Manager.Role detailsPay Rate: £12.21 per hour plus £1.47 holiday payStart Date: 3rd November 2025End Date: 31st July 2026Interview Date: 23rd October 2025Location: On campus/ RemoteWorking Pattern: 3-5 hours a weekResponsibilitiesCreating content and maintaining the Instagram channel which provides vital information about GROW Your Future to our student communityMaintaining contact with students enrolled on GROW Your FutureManaging marketing campaigns, and developing the GYF brand across campus, as well as creating other promotional material through CanvaDeveloping the GYF student community through the Instagram pageGathering student feedbackA current member of GROW Your Future (to find out more and see if you are eligible to join visit https://portal.lancaster.ac.uk/ask/grow-your-future/)Skilled user of social media, with a focus on InstagramAble to create attractive social media content including images and graphics through CanvaAbility to provide effective administrative support, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular use of Word, Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook emailsStrong organisational and time management skillsDesire and ability to work both in a team and independentlyAn interest in and commitment to promoting Equality, Diversity and InclusionSkills and experience developedCollaborationCreativityMulti-TaskingFlexibilityOrganisationPlanning and Organising
