usually a Tuesday & Thursday The Interim Director of Marketing will provide strategic marketing leadership and direction across the University, within VPEE and across the faculties with responsibility for delivering the rollout of the refreshed brand and building engagement and advocacy through integrated cross channel marketing activities. The Interim Director of Marketing will lead the Marketing and Communications (MarComms) and Brand teams within VPEE who are responsible for delivering: Rollout of a refreshed brand visual identity and narrative: drive engagement and advocacy of the brand across channels to support recruitment. Impactful CRM customer journeys and conversion marketing to potential students and offer holders. Advertising campaigns that deliver excellent ROI Engaging social media content, and appealing and compliant copy for our prospectuses and marketing collateral. Experience and knowledge
Essential Experience of managing brand in a complex organsiation, including experience of rolling out a brand refresh Extensive experience of marketing leadership at a senior strategic level in a Higher Education context Experience of developing and implementing CRM strategies and taking a hands-on approach to deliver CRM activity that drives conversion through all stages of the customer journey. Experience leading and managing high-performing teams of people, with a diverse range of specialist marketing and communication skills and of building cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration in organisations. Expert in strategic marketing planning with the ability to guide and advise others to translate strategic vision into practical plans to engage stakeholders through credible analysis and alignment across functions, budgets and objectives, evaluation and future recommendations. Experience of successfully using a variety of marketing tools, tactics, principles, and practices, as appropriate to engagement, acquisition, conversion, and loyalty marketing across multiple markets / segments. Good understanding of higher education policies, practices, and regulatory frameworks with understanding of current sector challenges Experience of working with and project managing external creative agencies Skills and abilities
- Essential An inspiring communicator, with excellent skills in writing strategies, business cases and marketing plans and in person (stakeholder meetings, client meetings, presentations, events) Well-developed leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build up and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation and at all levels; gravitas and maturity to present and network at a senior level Financial skills, including the ability to prepare financial business cases, and manage large, complex budgets and allocate resources effectively. The ability to derive insight from data, identify trends and use the resulting conclusions in operational and strategic decision-making; to analyse consumer behaviour and changing expectations, define and evaluate KPIs and identify opportunities for portfolio growth or consolidation.
