We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Growth Marketing to lead and accelerate our growth efforts by bringing new customers to the bank and by activating and engaging our existing customer base. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing successful growth marketing strategies in a fast-paced business, ideally within financial services or fintech. This role is responsible for overseeing the Web & SEO, Optimisation, Customer Engagement/CRM, and Paid Digital Media functions and how they execute against the marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Growth Strategy & Leadership

  • Define the growth strategy and set ambitious KPIs for customer acquisition, product adoption and usage, and lifetime value across all reporting teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Web & SEO, Optimisation, Customer Engagement, and Paid Digital teams to accelerate customer acquisition, and improve engagement and retention.
  • Ensure all channel strategies and engagement programmes are aligned to overall business and marketing goals.
  • Acquisition & Channel Management

  • Paid Digital: Own and oversee the digital media strategy to deliver against business and marketing goals. This includes owning all paid digital channels bought in-house, overseeing outsourced media to agencies, and managing the digital advertising tech stack.
  • Web & Organic Search: Own the web and organic search strategy to accelerate customer and product acquisition, and improve our support content for existing customers. Oversee the full organic journey, inclusive of the app stores, and our presence on third-party review/profile sites such as Google My Business.
  • Emerging Channels: Identify new opportunities through emerging channels.
  • MarTech: Manage the MarTech stack and relationships with Data and Engineering.
  • Customer Engagement & Retention

  • Lead the strategy for customer retention and engagement through lifecycle engagement programmes.
  • Own the customer engagement programmes for all products, specifically overseeing the development and execution of customer lifecycle journeys for both Retail and SME segments.
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) & Experimentation

  • Own and champion the experimentation programme to continuously improve the funnel performance for customer acquisition, organic and paid, and engagement.
  • Define the user testing and research strategy and methodology to gather insights that drive iterative improvements across customer journeys.
  • Requirements

  • Essential: Significant leadership experience (Director-level or equivalent) in a high-growth environment, managing multi-disciplinary growth teams (Paid Media, SEO, CRM, CRO).
  • Industry Expertise: Ideally, the candidate has demonstrable experience in financial services or fintech, possessing a deep understanding of the unique challenges and regulatory environment of the sector.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of marketing tech stacks, web analytics, SEO best practices, and conversion rate optimisation methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to coach, inspire, and develop senior team leads while fostering a highly analytical, test-and-learn culture.
