Digital Marketing Specialist We are creating a brand-new role within our Marketing team. We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with at least five years’ experience in a similar role to lead and deliver high-performing paid media campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, email, websites and digital platforms. Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Location: Split between our Community & Activity Village in Newark & the Malt Cross in Nottingham with 1 day working from home
Responsibilities
Lead on planning, delivering and optimising paid social media campaigns Manage email marketing and website content updates Use data and insights through GA4, GTM and Meta/Google Ads to drive campaign performance improvements, inform decision‑making, and measure campaign impact Own and ensure all paid digital marketing activity reflects the YMCA’s brand, values and mission while achieving measurable results Manage stakeholder communications, keeping the Head of Marketing and colleagues informed on progress and impact Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure joined‑up marketing campaigns across all channels
Qualifications
With at least 5 years’ experience delivering multi‑channel campaigns (paid social, Google Ads, email, web) Strong skills in targeting, optimisation, budgeting, keyword strategy, and campaign reporting Deep knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA4, and Tag Manager, including campaign setup, tracking, attribution, and insight generation Experience in email marketing automation (segmentation, workflows, personalisation), plus experience in SEO (technical, content, on‑page) and CRO/UX (A/B testing, user journey optimisation) Competent in CMS management, landing page builds, site optimisation, analytics setup, UTM conventions, and web accessibility standards (WCAG) Skilled at managing freelancers, agencies and internal teams, using project management tools to deliver integrated campaigns on time and on brand Strong copywriter with stakeholder communication skills, ensuring campaigns meet brand guidelines, GDPR/PECR requirements, and tone of voice standards Strategic mindset, capable of setting KPIs, analysing data into actionable insights, applying a “test and learn” approach, and managing workload effectively in high‑volume environments
