Overview of the Role

Bath College is looking for a creative and driven Digital Marketing Officer with a specialization in copywriting to join our growing Marketing Team. The role involves shaping digital and print content to engage students, employers and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, student-focused copy for websites, blogs, news stories, and course guides.
  • Optimise web content for SEO, accessibility and user experience.
  • Contribute to digital recruitment campaigns across websites, social platforms and email marketing.
  • Adapt writing style for online and offline media, including posters and handbooks.
  • Keep up to date with SEO trends, website performance, and new digital tools.
  • Support design and content projects, ensuring everything reflects our tone of voice and brand.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • A strong interest in digital marketing and copywriting.
  • Proven experience writing for different platforms and adapting tone for varied audiences.
  • Some experience using website CMS systems, social media platforms, or email marketing tools.
  • An eye for detail, with exceptional proofreading and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative, flexible approach — able to manage deadlines and support colleagues effectively.
  • Desirable: exposure to keyword research, digital analytics, or campaign reporting.
