If so, we have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you.About the Role:The Deaf Academy, founded in 1826, opened its doors to its home in the vibrant seaside town of Exmouth in 2020. As a Digital Marketing and Fundraising Officer, you will play a crucial role in a team dedicated to raising the profile of the Deaf Academy, demonstrating best practice, looking to the future, and helping us build on its increasing success. Your primary focus will be on digital marketing, but you will also support all areas of marketing and fundraising, including events. We are planning for our 200th anniversary in 2026, when we will be celebrating Deaf culture and history and creating a lasting bicentenary legacy. This is a unique chance to contribute to this milestone and our vision for the future.About You:A digital marketing enthusiast, with strong skills in digital marketing, design and content creation.A creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging visual and written content. Possibly with experience of an education or care setting, across an age range of 6 to 25.A great team member who is collaborative, supportive and able to build positive relationships both internally and externally.Aspirational and adaptable. One day is never the same. You will be willing to deliver various marketing and fundraising activities in support of the Academy’s objectives.Key Responsibilities:Digital Marketing: Create and manage high-quality content for our digital channels, including social media and our website.Visual Content: Develop engaging visual content, including photography and video, to tell compelling stories about our work.Strategy and Planning: Contribute to marketing and fundraising plans, bringing fresh ideas and initiatives to the table.Monitoring and Evaluation: Keep track of digital trends, monitor analytics, and report on our marketing performance.Marketing Materials: Assist in the creation and proofreading of marketing materials, ensuring they are accurate and high-quality.Public Relations: Identify news stories, draft press releases, and support media relations.Events: Help plan and manage events, creating supporting marketing content and materials.Accessibility: Ensure all marketing materials are accessible to our diverse audiences, including creating British Sign Language videos for our staff and students.Why Join Us?:This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity, particularly as the charity approaches its 200th anniversary next year.
