Job title: Digital Communications and Marketing Executive (12 Month Fixed Term Contract). An exciting opportunity to support the visibility and position of the Petrofac brand by enhancing Petrofac’s digital communications and marketing delivery, acting as a key contributor to a best-in-class corporate digital presence.
Responsibilities
- Content creation, publishing and management for corporate channels, including the website, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, employee ambassadors and paid media; ensure all content reflects Petrofac's editorial voice, brand guidelines and corporate reputation.
- Support digital campaign planning and execution, generating assets, coordinating delivery, and tracking impact; shape compelling content that showcases our people, projects and purpose.
- Web management: day-to-day publishing and updates across Petrofac.com and associated sites; ensure content is accurate, timely and relevant.
- Editorial calendar: help manage the integrated calendar, align content with corporate announcements, campaigns and business priorities; coordinate inputs across the business to maintain delivery on track.
- Data, insights and continuous improvement: use analytics tools (GA4, native social analytics, dashboards) to track performance, provide actionable insights and recommend improvements; pilot UX, SEO and channel engagement enhancements.
- Employee advocacy and social engagement: help shape employee advocacy activity and SMEs’ presence on social media; draft guidance, toolkits and posts to position Petrofac as a workplace of experts and leaders; manage small campaign budgets and multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, designers and agency partners; maintain strong relationships across geographies and varying levels of digital literacy.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related discipline.
- Several years of experience in a digital communications or marketing role (corporate, agency, or B2B).
- Demonstrable experience managing social media and web platforms with attention to detail and storytelling.
- Experience creating social media content in multiple formats (short-form video, photography, graphics, live event coverage).
- Robust understanding of SEO, analytics tools (GA4, dashboards), and accessibility best practices.
- Strong writing and editing skills; ability to adapt tone and style for web, social and campaign content.
- Experience publishing content across formats and managing digital channels with accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to deliver against an integrated editorial calendar aligned with business priorities and campaign objectives.
- Ability to gather, interpret and present data from GA4 and social dashboards to demonstrate impact and inform improvements.
- Knowledge of UX, SEO, accessibility and how these strengthen user journeys and brand reputation.
- Collaborative and able to work with stakeholders, designers, and agency partners; able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with content management systems, digital asset management and related publishing tools.
- Ability to translate technical or complex topics into clear, engaging digital content.
Desirable Practical Skills
- Knowledge of image and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva equivalents).
- Ability to film and edit short-form video content for social media.
- Familiarity with paid media models (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta Ads) and basic campaign reporting.
- Curiosity and creativity with a strong interest in storytelling and brand communication.
- Proactive, able to take initiative and work under pressure when deadlines shift.
- Sharp attention to detail and consistency across all content.
- Collaborative and approachable; able to build trust with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels.
- Willingness to learn and develop new digital skills, tools and platforms.
- Aware of responsibilities of working within a listed business environment, including sensitivity to disclosure and reputational risk.
