Digital Communications and Marketing Executive (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Role purpose

An exciting opportunity to support the visibility and position of the Petrofac brand by supporting enhancements within Petrofac’s digital communications and marketing delivery, acting as a key contributor to a best-in-class corporate digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Create, curate, and publish content for corporate channels, including the website, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, employee ambassadors and paid media
  • Ensure all content reflects Petrofac's editorial voice, brand guidelines, and corporate reputation priorities
  • Support digital campaign planning and execution, generating assets, coordinating delivery, and tracking impact
  • Bring editorial flair and storytelling to shape compelling content that showcases our people, projects, and purpose
  • Manage day-to-day web publishing and updates across Petrofac.com and associated sites
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure content remains accurate, timely and relevant
  • Help manage the integrated editorial calendar, aligning content with corporate announcements, campaigns, and business priorities to ensure seamless integration
  • Coordinate inputs from across the business to keep delivery on track
  • Utilise analytics tools (GA4, native social analytics, and dashboards) to track performance, provide actionable insights and recommend improvements
  • Stay alert to new tools, formats and approaches to support continual strengthening of digital communications
  • Pilot improvements to UX, SEO and channel engagement
  • Help shape and activate employee advocacy activity and subject matter experts' presence on social media
  • Draft guidance, toolkits, and posts that position Petrofac as a workplace of experts and leaders
  • Manage small budgets at the individual campaign level and contribute to budget awareness
  • Manage multiple projects and respond to tight deadlines, balancing conflicting priorities in a calm and constructive manner
  • Take initiative, challenge the status quo, and develop quality solutions and improved working practices
  • Demonstrate strong awareness of cultural nuances and audience needs
  • Build strong rapport and long-term partnerships with SMEs and senior leaders across geographies

Essential qualifications and skills

  • Degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related discipline
  • Several years of experience in a digital communications or marketing role (corporate, agency, or B2B)
  • Experience managing social media and web platforms with attention to detail and storytelling
  • Experience creating social media content in multiple formats (short-form video, photography, graphics, live event coverage)
  • Robust understanding of SEO, analytics tools (GA4, dashboards), and accessibility best practices
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for web, social and campaigns
  • Proven ability to deliver content across channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, websites) with accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to work against an integrated editorial calendar aligned with business priorities and campaign objectives
  • Experience interpreting data from GA4, dashboards and other tools to demonstrate impact and suggest improvements
  • Understanding of UX, SEO and accessibility and how these strengthen user journeys and brand reputation
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and agency partners while juggling multiple projects
  • Competence with content management systems and publishing tools
  • Ability to translate technical topics into clear, engaging digital content

Desirable practical skills

  • Knowledge of image and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva equivalents)
  • Ability to film and edit short-form video content for social media
  • Familiarity with paid media models (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta Ads) and basic campaign reporting
  • Curiosity and creativity with a strong interest in storytelling and brand communication
  • Proactive, able to work under pressure when deadlines shift
  • Attention to detail and consistency across content
  • Collaborative and approachable, able to build trust with colleagues at different levels
  • Willingness to learn and develop new digital skills, tools and platforms
  • Aware of responsibilities when working within a listed business environment, including disclosure and reputational risk
