We are now looking for a confident, experienced, and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our leadership team.

? Role Overview As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership, management, and day-to-day running of the nursery.

You will ensure exceptional standards of care, safeguarding, and early education are maintained at all times.

?? Key Responsibilities Support the Nursery Manager in leading and supervising the staff team.

Ensure the nursery meets all Ofsted, EYFS, and safeguarding requirements.

Oversee daily operations, room planning, staffing, and ratios.

Maintain high standards of education, care, and learning outcomes.

Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers.

Support staff training, mentoring, performance reviews, and wellbeing.

Coordinate with external agencies and local partners when needed.

Contribute to curriculum planning and ensure age-appropriate activities.

Assist with administration tasks such as rotas, enrolment, and reporting.

Ensure the environment is safe, secure, and stimulating at all times.

Lead by example with excellent practice, professionalism, and communication.

?? Requirements Level 3 or equivalent Early Years qualification (essential).

Minimum 23 years of experience in a senior nursery role (Deputy Room Leader, Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, etc.).

Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards.

Experience supervising or mentoring staff.

Confident, organised, and able to use initiative.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and staff.
