It is estimated that Rangers has a global fanbase of 4m, half of which are based in the UK._____________________________________________________________________________________THE ROLEWe’re looking for someone to take the lead on how Rangers tells its story off the pitch. This role is about making sure the club’s voice is strong, clear and consistent when it comes to everything beyond football. That includes supporter communications, ticketing updates, stadium information, commercial partnerships and community outreach. You will make sure supporters are kept informed, policies are explained clearly, and the club’s wider work is communicated with professionalism and pride.Reporting to the Head of Communications and working closely with the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, you will lead the development and delivery of a corporate communications plan that supports the club’s wider strategy. You will play a key role in how Rangers engages with supporters, partners, stakeholders and the public while helping to protect and enhance the club’s reputation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupporter communications: Take responsibility for clear, consistent and timely communication with supporters on key issues including ticketing, stadium information, matchday operations, behaviour, policies and supporter-facing campaigns. Drive efforts to raise awareness of our supporter engagement work.Corporate communications planning: Lead the development and delivery of a structured communications plan for non-football activity that aligns with the club’s overall communications strategy and supports its wider objectives.Internal communications: Develop and manage clear, timely internal communications that keep staff informed and connected, including newsletters, briefings and updates on club-wide initiatives and operational matters.Media relations: Build and maintain strong working relationships with journalists across sport, news and business. Be a visible and trusted point of contact for media covering Rangers’ off-field matters.Media management: Manage media enquiries related to non-football topics. Brief and support club staff ahead of interviews, appearances or public engagements to ensure confidence and consistency in how the club is represented.Content creation: Draft and review written content including press releases, supporter updates, internal briefings, shareholder communications and web articles. Ensure all material is accurate, clear and reflective of the club’s tone and values.Campaign delivery: Plan and help deliver communications campaigns that are visually clear, accessible and impactful. Use social media and digital platforms effectively to inform supporters and stakeholders about key updates, policies, events and initiatives.Commercial communications: Work closely with the Commercial and Partnerships teams to deliver announcements, activations and campaign activity. Ensure all messaging is aligned and amplifies the club’s partnerships. Draft award submissions where relevant to help raise our profile in the industry.Board and regulatory communications: Contribute to board-level communication, including shareholder updates, reports, official statements and regulatory matters.Charity and community: Collaborate with the Rangers Charity Foundation to promote its work and help connect its impact to the club’s wider mission. Support the delivery and future development of the Everyone Anyone campaign. Promote the great work the club does in the community.Stakeholder communications: Play an active role in communicating with the club’s key stakeholders, including supporters, local organisations, business partners, public bodies and governing authorities.Crisis communications: Assist in planning for and responding to reputational issues, ensuring the club is well-prepared and well-represented in high-pressure moments.Monitoring and evaluation: Track, analyse and report on the performance of communications across media and digital platforms.
