We’re looking for a talented Content & Digital Marketing Executive to deliver a consistent, engaging brand presence and effective marketing activity across our digital channels.

This role blends content marketing and digital marketing support. You will take ownership of content publishing, employee advocacy coordination, and day-to-day organic social activity, while also helping manage website updates, on-page SEO and reporting. Working closely with the Marketing Director and Digital Marketing Manager, you will be a key player in delivering Gridlines’ commitment to marketing that is high quality, consistent, and discoverable.

Responsibilities

  • Content marketing (approx. 60%)
  • Own the organic content calendar in partnership with the Marketing Director
  • Create high quality engaging social LinkedIn content
  • Format, upload, and publish high-quality content in HubSpot and WordPress
  • Create engaging visuals in line with brand guidelines (e.g. Canva) to accompany social posts, newsletters and website content
  • Work with the team to consistently publish high quality blog content
  • Coordinate employee advocacy activity, including scheduling, providing post templates, and tracking performance
  • Maintain brand consistency and tone of voice across all content
  • Ensure accessibility best practices in published content
  • Coordinate a basic backlink strategy through content partnerships, guest posts, and relationship outreach to support off-page SEO
  • Digital marketing (approx. 40%)
  • Implement on-page SEO best practice (metadata, headers, alt tags, internal linking)
  • Support structured data/schema implementation for future search and LLM discoverability
  • Help maintain and update website pages, ensuring good user experience and basic performance standards
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager on landing pages, forms, and campaign assets
  • Support tracking and tagging (working with the Digital Marketing Manager) to enable clear reporting
  • Maintain and update performance dashboards (GA4, HubSpot, LinkedIn)
  • Coordinate with freelance designers, writers or developers as required
  • Maintain a structured, version-controlled marketing knowledge base for case studies, presentations, and brand assets

Essential Skills

  • Excellent content writing and editing skills.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a content or digital marketing role
  • Degree level / CIM level 6 or equivalent in marketing or digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with content publishing in HubSpot, WordPress or similar CMS
  • Working knowledge of on-page SEO best practice and SEO tools e.g. Ahrefs, SEMRush
  • Proven experience using social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, for B2B marketing
  • Proficient with design tools such as Canva (Adobe an advantage)
  • Confident working with performance tools like GA4, HubSpot dashboards
  • Commitment to accessibility standards and inclusive content
  • Awareness of emerging trends such as generative AI for content

Desirable

  • Experience in financial services, professional services or legal sectors
  • Basic HTML/CSS for formatting and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with integration tools such as Zapier or other no-code automation platforms
  • Expertise in community management platform (e.g. Mighty Networks)
