City Splash is the UK’s leading reggae, dancehall and afrobeats festival and we’re looking for a brilliant, energetic and engaged Marketing Manager to take this even further.
Job Overview
We’re looking for a passionate individual to deliver our marketing campaign across multiple channels, take ownership of our growing community, manage the sizable social media platforms, CRM and email marketing, and bring their own unique energy to our festival. Your role will be to take the lead of the City Splash marketing campaign, actively generating ideas to maximise the ticket sales of the festival and build a digital presence.
Role Objectives

To create unique and effective content to use cross‑platform
To lead on culturally relevant content creation
To be focused on meeting business targets for sales, platform growth and be an avid contributor in ways these can be met.
To be able to report with precision and attention to detail, analysing impacts of strategy and sharing with the wider team.
To take ownership of the festival's social media and communications, adapting to trends and internal information.
Responsibilities
Devise and execute a detailed social media marketing plan for City Splash festival that covers all key platforms, reflecting and analysing throughout.
Lead on the copywriting for City Splash communications across web, social media and beyond.
Creative content production from simple graphics to Reels using appropriate tools like InShot, Adobe, Canva.
Plan the content calendar with great attention to detail and with up‑to‑date industry knowledge inputted using platforms such as Later and Hootsuite.
Be responsible for all inbound and outbound communications from our official platforms and inbox.
Collaborate with the design teams for content needs, briefing in a timely manner.
Inform into the promotion of the event; liaise with relevant media avenues, write press releases and mailers, ensure website and social media platforms are up to date, coordinate the production and distribution of printed assets, coordinate the production of online assets.
Lead on the CRM and email marketing through testing mailers and creating funnels for customer journeys.
Lead on the paid performance marketing, working closely with the ads team to promote assets.
Work with other partners where necessary including influencer management, PR, brand partnerships and collaborations.
Source and secure influencer collaborations, draft and review contracts, and manage ongoing relationships to maximise brand visibility.
Working closely with designers to provide clear briefs, feedback, and ensure timely delivery of assets aligned with campaign and brand goals.
Assist in planning and executing events outside of the main festival such as City Splash Week, warm up parties or other shows under the brand. Manage lineup announcements by reaching out to artists and agents, coordinating approvals, and overseeing the creation and delivery of promotional assets.
Be a happy, enthusiastic and friendly first point of online contact for our City Splash audience and festival goers.
Build monthly and yearly reports with attention to detail and ability to analyse effectively.
Due to the nature of our group of companies, from time to time, your role will also include work on other brands and roles within the company as requested by your line manager or the management team.
