Pay: CA$21.50 per hour
Overview
This position is funded through eligibility details provided by the organization. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and Box Office Manager, the Concert Series Marketing & Administrative Assistant will support the organization’s marketing needs and general administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Post on social media platforms on behalf of Chamberfest before and at in-person events as directed by Marketing and Artistic teams.
- Create slides and monitor livestreamed and other virtual content such as Chamber Chats.
- Assist in the creation and building of event and artist pages for the Wordpress website.
- Provide onsite support for concerts and auxiliary events.
- Support artist hospitality needs and merchandise sales.
- Relieve reception and on-site box office by handling ticket services inquiries and processing payments as required.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
- Stay up-to-date with news from upcoming artists to help promote their involvement with Chamberfest.
Skills and Qualifications
- Detail oriented with a willingness to seek clarification as needed.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Team player with a willingness to assume ad hoc responsibilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience in cash handling.
- Accessibility training is an asset.
- Experience with database and/or CRM systems is an asset.
Additional Qualifications
Candidate eligibility is determined according to program criteria:
- Unemployed job seeker or those employed less than 20 hours per week.
- A permanent resident living in Ontario who is legally authorized to work in Canada.
- One of the following criteria:
- Has an established Employment Insurance (EI) benefit period, or
- Previously established an EI benefit period that has ended within the previous 60 months, or
- Has paid EI premiums in at least 3 of the last 10 years while earnings have been at least $2000 in each of those years.
Note: Persons currently enrolled in full-time academic studies are not eligible for consideration. Those who qualify to establish an EI claim must do so prior to being considered for participation.

Ottawa Chamberfest has been sharing music for 30 years. It has grown from a small summer festival to a year-round arts organization. Our three pillars are the summer festival, our concert series, and our community engagement and education programming.
