The role reports to the Head of Business Development, and as a key member of the sales team, you will shape how the agency explores the market to surface new revenue opportunities.You will take a leading role in accelerating new business growth across the agency; owning and driving high-value opportunities from generation through to conversion, developing bespoke proposals, playing a role in complex pitch processes from time to time, and forging lasting relationships with senior client stakeholders.Working closely with marketing, channel specialists, and senior leadership, you will play a key part in shaping and executing our EMEA new business strategy, identifying growth sectors and driving measurable impact on Croud’s revenue targets.RESPONSIBILITIESKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leading the development and execution of tailored business development strategies and campaigns, including researching and identifying prospective clients that align with broader commercial goals.Representing Croud at industry events, roundtables, and key networking opportunities, strengthening the agency’s visibility and reputation in-marketManaging opportunities from qualified lead through to pitch, including negotiation and contract close where requiredCollaborating with internal stakeholders to craft compelling proposals and pitches that clearly articulate Croud’s value and differentiationPartnering with the marketing and channel teams to ensure cohesive messaging and high-impact campaigns targeting key verticalsTracking industry trends and introducing innovative solutions to strengthen sales conversations and thought leadershipLeveraging bespoke case studies, client success stories and thought leadership materials through collaboration with PR and communications teams to share stories of innovation, product launches and data-led insights, helping position Croud as a trusted partner in the marketRegularly reporting on pipeline performance, opportunity progression, and market insights to senior stakeholdersMaintaining accurate, timely CRM records to ensure visibility across teams and informing reporting and forecastingRegularly updating the lead generation tracker, monitoring personal KPIs related to new conversations, events attended, meetings/calls, and generated opportunitiesPERSON SPECIFICATIONA self-starter who brings energy and enthusiasm to their workCompetent networker who can freely start new conversations with easeProven track record of success in business development or consultative sales within a digital marketing or agency environmentStrong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and shape complex opportunitiesDemonstrated ability to engage and influence C-suite and senior stakeholders with confidence and credibilityAn understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including emerging trends, client pain points, and Croud’s key channel proposition.Experience in pitch processes including; briefing, proposal development, and presentation delivery is a bonusCollaborative and inclusive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys mentoring othersResults-oriented with a proactive mindset and a passion for driving growthCOMPANY BENEFITSCroud operates a hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days a week based in our London office and the remaining days from home if you wish.Croud offers a clear path to progression for all members of staff.
