Business Applications Lead - Legal Technology & GenAI London-based, global reach About the Firm A fast-growing, ambitious, 150-user firm, recognised as preeminent in its field, advising industry leaders and sovereign states on high-value matters, worldwide. The Opportunity To support continued growth and evolution of their utilisation of technology, the firm are seeking a Legal Applications Specialist to work closely with the new IT Director and Head of IT and take ownership of their applications estate & generative AI (GenAI) tools. This is a pivotal, new role ensuring the smooth deployment, optimisation, and support of applications that underpin their legal services, document and matter management, and AI-enhanced productivity. The role requires a broad technical background but focuses on regular interaction with partners and senior stakeholders to identify business efficiencies through the adoption / implementation of technology. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of new solutions. Manage and support legal and AI applications (including iManage Cloud, Intapp, Litera, BigHand, M365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise). Develop relationships with all high-performing users, understanding the quirks of their roles, to provide innovative enhancements to their Practice. Evaluate emerging legal tech and AI tools, driving automation and efficiency. Deliver training and best practice guidance to colleagues and users. Contribute to IT strategy, innovation, and documentation. Provide support for finance systems and core infrastructure/security platforms. Participate in out-of-hours support for emergencies and planned work. Be versatile, supporting absent colleagues where needed. About You 3+ years' experience in applications engineering within legal or professional services. Strong knowledge of legal applications and GenAI platforms. Experienced in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra AD, and Windows Server. Familiar with ITIL and service management tools. Ability to quickly learn and present new technology. Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and client service skills.
