The Opportunity
As Associate, Event Marketing, you will support the Event Marketing Team in amplifying the Hamilton Lane brand through strategic meeting management support for both internal stakeholders (Hamilton Lane staff) and external partners (existing clients and prospects). You will assist with all stages of event management, ensuring a smooth and successful event experience. Additionally, you will be an expert user of Cvent and demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for collaboration and partnership across all areas of the firm.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, logistics, and execution of Hamilton Lane’s events, including investor meetings, private dinners, webinars, sponsorship activations and internal meetings and events
- Manage event registrations, RSVPs and attendee communications, ensuring a seamless guest experience
- Support the creation of event collateral, invitations, presentations and post-event reports
- Conduct venue research, create event comparison proposals and assist with site visits when needed
- Track event metrics and contribute to post-event debriefs and make recommendations for future improvements
- Maintain the global events calendar and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Stay current with industry trends and explore creative ideas to enhance the attendee experience
Your Background
- Undergraduate Degree or relevant work experience
- 3-5+ years’ event management experience preferably in financial services or a similarly regulated environment
- Industry knowledge (venue sourcing, event technology, trends)
- Advanced use of Cvent (non-negotiable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload of competing priorities
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
