Job Description
Who We Are
Fabric Social is the maverick of social agencies - we build brands through best-in-class content, trend-first creative, and community-first thinking. We’re not just about reach; we’re about resonance. We nourish communities and create social ecosystems that pull audiences in, not just push content out.
We’ve moved beyond “always on.” We believe in being "always in": in culture, in conversation, in communities. We're looking for an Associate Creative Director who will sit at the intersection of editorial, community, trends, real-time content and campaigns. You’ll guide how brands show up every day, creating smart, sharp, scroll-stopping ideas that feel native, necessary, and built for the moment.
You’ll lead a team of social creatives and community specialists, ensuring every meme, skit, collab, comment, and caption is on brand, on tone, and in the feed for the right reason. And as part of Fabric’s creative leadership team, you won’t just own the work, you’ll help shape the culture, raise the bar, and grow the people behind it.
The Role
As our Associate Creative Director, you’ll help lead the creative charge across campaigns, original content, content series, and always-in trends and reactive. You’ll pair sharp creative thinking with a deep understanding of platform behaviours, cultural nuance, and how brands build equity in social. You’ll concept, create, and guide the work, from pitch decks to posts, skits to social systems, helping brands show up with real relevance. You’ll also mentor creatives, collaborate with strategy, and push for the kind of work that feels native, necessary, and unmistakably Fabric.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creative Leadership: Leading the development of bold, social-first concepts that make brands stand out and belong in culture.
- Campaign to Content: Crafting creative across full campaigns, content formats, and always-in editorial - understanding the difference between the tentpole and the thread.
- Concepting & Copywriting: Developing platform-native ideas with smart storytelling and sharp writing - whether it’s a reactive TikTok, an IG carousel, or a branded meme series.
- Mentoring & Team Support: Helping develop junior creatives - providing clear feedback, creative direction, and support to help them level up.
- Cultural Relevance: Bringing cultural fluency to every brief - understanding internet behaviours, creator economies, platform quirks, and trend life cycles.
- Client Collaboration: Presenting and selling in creative with clarity and confidence - leading workshops, running brainstorms, and building trust.
- Creative Craft & Taste: Uplifting the execution of our work - from idea to post, ensuring everything feels polished, purposeful and on point.
- Always-In Thinking: Collaborating with the community and editorial teams to develop reactive and real-time content that lands with relevance.
- Distribution Awareness: Understanding how creative gets seen - collab tags, influencer integrations, content sequencing, and smart amplification.
What We’re Looking For
- A Social-First Creative Mind: You understand how to create content for platforms, not just push things onto them.
- A Conceptual Thinker: You love cracking the big idea, but you also care about how it lands in the scroll.
- A Cultural Observer: You’re plugged into trends, behaviours, and internet nuance—and know how to apply that insight to brand work.
- A Sharp Writer: You know how to find the hook, hit the tone, and write like a human - not a headline generator.
- A Natural Leader: You’ve mentored creatives and know how to get the best out of people and processes.
- A Brand-Builder: You think about long-term equity, not just quick hits - and know how to make creative that feeds both.
- A Collaborator: You thrive in cross-functional teams - creative, strategy, production, community - and make the work stronger together.
- A Pitch Contributor: You bring the energy, insight, and creative edge needed to help us win new clients and take risks with existing ones.
What You’ll Get
- The opportunity to shape best-in-class creative in a social-first, culture-obsessed agency.
- A seat at the table with brands that want to push what social creativity can look like.
- The chance to lead creative work that zigzags between strategy, spontaneity, and cultural sharpness.
- A collaborative team that values originality, experimentation, and fearless thinking.
- Competitive salary and benefits.
