In an increasingly competitive marketplace, our Marketing, Communications, and Business Development (MCBD) team enables Arup to build and protect our reputation, deepen client relationships, win quality work, and attract top talent. This role will be key in achieving our strategic market and client ambitions.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the Account Based Marketing (ABM) discipline within a global professional services firm, as we are seeking to hire an ABM Manager within our MCBD function.
The Opportunity
The Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Manager will play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value ABM, through delivering high-impact, insight-driven ABM campaigns for managed clients across the region, whilst creating a centralising expertise, methodology and resources to foster innovation, adoption and continuous learning across MCBD worldwide.
ABM campaign delivery: The post holder will create and deliver exemplar ABM campaigns, which are tailored to the needs and opportunities of key clients. These campaigns will strengthen client relationships, enhance the firm's reputation, and drive strategic revenue growth within priority accounts.
Centre of Excellence Leadership:
The post holder will support the establishment and enablement of an ABM Centre of Excellence to develop a consistent, scalable, and simplified approach to ABM. This will enable broader adoption across regions and embed ABM as a strategic capability within the business.
The postholder will collaborate closely with the regional Head of Clients, client relationship managers, ABM practitioners, marketing and business development colleagues, and the regional client programme manager to ensure campaigns are client-centric, insight-led, and aligned with business priorities.
Key responsibilities
Deliver Targeted ABM Campaigns: Lead 1:1, 1:few, and scenario-based ABM initiatives with precision positioning and engagement strategies.
Drive Client-Centric Insights: Use research, feedback, and analytics to foster more client-focused behaviours across teams
Facilitate Strategic Planning: Run workshops on stakeholder mapping and value propositions to shape impactful ABM plans.
Align with Business Development: Integrate ABM into pursuit strategies and collaborate on regional opportunities to support work-winning outcomes.
Lead ABM Excellence & Community: Build and manage ABM resources, mentor embedded ABMers, and cultivate a global learning platform.
Innovate with Tech & Storytelling: Leverage automation and AI for smarter engagement, while showcasing ABM success stories to inspire and educate.
Qualifications and accreditations:
Degree, postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business Development or other relevant qualification
Formal training / qualification in Account Based Marketing
Skills
ABM Expertise: Proven experience designing and delivering multi-channel ABM campaigns with strategic impact.
Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in building trusted relationships with senior leaders to drive client-centric marketing.
Change Leadership: Track record of leading innovation and operational excellence across marketing and client teams.
Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving, data literacy, and ability to navigate ambiguity with agility.
Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with platforms like Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics, Qualtrics, and AI-driven tools.
Inclusive & Visionary Leadership: Passionate about ABM, committed to integrity, collaboration, and advancing Arup's values.
