Overview

Marketing Communications-based within the Marketing and External Relations (MER) Directorate, the Marketing and Communications team exists to build and protect the University of Greenwich’s brand profile globally and to deliver marketing to attract students. We currently have a vacancy for a Marketing and Communications Assistant who will support administrative and finance requirements and work on a range of marketing and communications projects with colleagues across the team. This is a varied role within a team of professionals managing the university’s internal and external marketing and communications function. You do not need prior experience in the Higher Education sector but must be passionate about the value of marketing and communications in helping the university achieve its strategic goals.

On the administrative side you will raise purchase orders, update the budget tracker, assist with forecasting, book meetings and coordinate events. On the project side you will support activity across the university website, staff and student communications, events, digital marketing, brand and content, and social media. This is a hybrid role based two days per week on campus (one day at Greenwich campus and one at Avery Hill campus) plus three days working remotely.
