Job Description

We are assisting this organization in their search for a seasoned Director of Infrastructure to spearhead their infrastructure strategy in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This hybrid role demands a comprehensive understanding of cloud infrastructure, notably with AWS, alongside substantial expertise in data center and systems engineering. The chosen candidate will guide a team of four direct reports within a wider team of 15 professionals, with occasional travel to factories situated approximately 60 miles south of the metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution and oversight of cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring they meet high standards of availability and reliability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure specialists, cultivating a culture of innovation and ongoing enhancement.
  • Work alongside cross-departmental teams to execute technological strategies aimed at improving operational effectiveness.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for infrastructure governance, data center management, and networking.
  • Explore and integrate AI functionalities to boost team productivity and project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing cloud infrastructure, particularly using AWS technologies.
  • Acquainted with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure and Pure Storage solutions.
  • Experience with networking solutions like Extreme Networks or Cisco Meraki is advantageous.
  • A solid background in data center management and operations.
  • Comprehensive experience in network and systems engineering fields.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a diverse group of professionals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities complemented by innovative thought processes.
