Strategic SEO Specialist [Part Time]
2 Days Old
Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible across 3-4 days, can align with school hours)
Benefits: 28 days holiday pro-rata (increasing to 33 with service), birthday day off, flexible working, and other perks - see Koozai Jobs
About the Role
At Koozai, we don't see SEO as a tactical checkbox; we see it as a strategic product that fuels real business growth. We're looking for a sharp, motivated SEO Specialist with a strong technical SEO skillset, someone who understands user problems, thinks big‑picture, understands how the sector is changing and thrives in a collaborative environment.
We're a flexible employer and understand the importance of work‑life balance. This part‑time role is perfect for someone who can provide reliable, consistent SEO support for 20 hours per week (80 hours per month) and wants to be part of our lovely, friendly team.
You’ll be responsible for managing and growing the SEO performance of the agency’s roster of SEO clients. You’ll work closely with our specialists in content marketing, digital PR, paid search, and paid social, collaborating to deliver fully integrated, effective strategies.
You’ll bring 3‑4 years of agency experience and a proven track record. Beyond technical skills, we’re looking for common sense, reliability, solid business acumen, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. You should be excited about exploring and applying AI tools and innovations to drive search strategies forward.
As part of the organic team, you’ll have the chance to work with and learn from experienced SEO, content, and PR experts, all committed to delivering outstanding results for our clients.
What You’ll Do
Act as a strategic SEO partner, solving user problems rather than chasing keywords
Apply strong business acumen to align SEO with broader company growth objectives
Think like a product manager, treating SEO as a product with continuous improvement
Build scalable SEO systems by using structured data (like schema markup) and exploring AI tools to efficiently optimise large numbers of pages
Collaborate across teams to execute integrated strategies
Understand and optimise the entire customer journey, not just the first click
Understand and optimise for multi‑channel marketing
Stay on top of developments in AI and how they impact the future of search
Communicate SEO performance in terms of commercial impact and business goals
Maintain dashboards and reporting that links SEO to measurable business outcomes
About You
3‑4 years of agency experience with a proven SEO track record
Common sense, strong business judgment, and a willingness to keep learning
Deep understanding of user intent and the customer journey
Familiarity or keen interest in using and exploring AI for search
Product‑led thinking: see SEO as an ongoing, scalable product
Confident communicator who can translate SEO metrics into business KPIs
Collaborative mindset – works well with multiple stakeholders
Data‑driven, comfortable prioritising by ROI
Growth mindset, curiosity, and proactive problem‑solving attitude
Ideally have successfully completed Jellyfish or Blue Array SEO courses (or equivalent)
Able to work reliably within a 20‑hour week, with availability across 3‑4 days
Why You’ll Love Working Here
28 days holiday pro‑rata (rising to 33 with service)
Birthday day off
Flexible, fully remote working with school‑friendly hours
Wellbeing support and personal development opportunities

If you think strategically, act collaboratively, and see SEO as a living product with the power to transform businesses, we’d love to hear from you.
