Job Summary: Join a global leader in cloud-native telecommunications and network infrastructure solutions, as a Senior Technical Operations Engineer. In this hands-on, customer-facing role, you will deploy, integrate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues for advanced telecom solutions, supporting Tier 1 operators and satellite providers. You will work closely with both internal teams and customer technical staff, ensuring seamless project delivery and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Deployment
Deploy and integrate EPC/5GC/NFV/Kubernetes solutions into customer networks. Collaborate with customer technical staff to support system integration and testing. Run acceptance testing with customers to verify product functionality. Provide Tier 3 support during outages for assigned projects. Assist support teams with upgrades and execute go-live checklists.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
Investigate and resolve technical issues, escalating to R&D as needed. Use test tools to capture and analyze logs for R&D. Automate operational procedures using Python, Ansible, or Shell scripts (a plus). Participate in product debug capability improvements and lessons learned activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the key interface between project teams and R&D. Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of content, demos, and documentation. Prepare and review project documentation, including Method of Procedures (MOP). Provide technical coaching and support to EMEA Support Teams.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Review and update technical quality systems and bug tracking entries. Adhere to internal delivery milestones and participate in process improvement initiatives. Share product knowledge and findings with the wider team by updating the knowledge base.
Skills, Experience, and Abilities Required:
Strong experience with UNIX (Solaris or Redhat Linux) and UNIX System Administration Good coding experience
(Python, Ansible, Shell scripting a plus) Experience with 5GC SA/NSA protocols and architecture Experience with 4G EPC (PGW/SGW/MME/PCRF) products and architecture Full understanding of NFV (RedHat, VMWare, or Wind River) Knowledge of telecom protocols:
HTTP2, NGAP, DIAMETER, GTP, S1AP Experience with containerized deployments and Kubernetes Experience installing, upgrading, and configuring computer hardware and software Knowledge of mobile networks and software engineering principles Experience with HP and Dell platforms (a plus) Experience with VMWare or KVM-based virtualization (a plus) Experience with IP networks (a plus) Excellent customer-facing and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a global team Proactive problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn on the job
