YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Business Development team at Medialab. This is a key role within the agency, leading the planning, development, and execution of marketing initiatives that enhance our profile, deepen our industry presence, and support client retention and growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Growth, you will take ownership of Medialab’s marketing activity and play a pivotal role in shaping our reputation through content, thought leadership, awards, events, PR etc. This role is ideal for an experienced and proactive agency-side, media owner or tech marketer who is passionate about reputation building and delivering high-quality, impactful marketing in a dynamic agency environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual marketing plan for Medialab and its associated products and services, in alignment with our business and marketing goals.
  • Own the marketing calendar, ensuring the consistent and timely delivery of campaigns, content, events, and initiatives, delivered by the Senior Business Development Executive and Business Development Executive.
  • PR & Communications: Manage the day-to-day relationship with our PR agency, ensuring alignment on messaging, briefings, and output. Review media opportunities, commentaries, and articles from our PR agency to ensure brand consistency and tone of voice.
  • Content: Own the thought leadership pipeline, overseeing the creation and distribution of high-quality content including blogs, research and trend reports, and whitepapers. Develop and manage the agency’s social content strategy across LinkedIn and Instagram, overseeing social content creation with the Senior Business Development Executive. Oversee the agency’s award submissions process from start to finish and ensure outputs meet brand guidelines. Maintain and evolve Medialab’s website to reflect brand, expertise, capabilities and positioning.
  • Event Management: Lead the planning and delivery of Medialab-hosted and third-party events, oversee logistics, speaker coordination, guest communications, and post-event follow-ups. Ensure brand consistency across event collateral and experiences. Identify industry events for presence.
  • Budget & Performance: Manage the marketing budget, track spend and report on performance against key KPIs.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, and business development.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with creative tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, AfterEffects, Photoshop).
