Senior Marketing Manager: Content & Communications at Isla Health. This is a full-time role (40 hours/week), hybrid, UK-based with eligibility to work abroad up to 90 days/year and quarterly travel to London for company-wide and team sessions. Salary is £50,000 - £63,000 per annum. The role reports to the Marketing Director and involves acting as brand storyteller, content architect, and strategic partner to sales, collaborating with clinical teams and Isla's growth & product functions to sharpen messaging and create content that converts for healthcare professionals and patients.

This is a fast-paced, collaborative role focused on growing the marketing function with versatility across strategy and execution, from strategy presentations to deck formatting and campaign execution. The position offers the opportunity to impact healthcare through our digital pathway platform.

Responsibilities

  • Client-facing marketing & sales enablement: work with sales to understand prospect pain points, refine USPs, test messaging with real clients and NHS Trusts, and create sales collateral, case studies, and other materials that help close deals.
  • Strategic copy creation: structure compelling narratives across blogs, thought leadership, web copy, email campaigns; leverage AI tools for first drafts while maintaining strategy and voice; optimize content for top search rankings and online visibility.
  • Creative production & design: edit video, create presentation decks, design social graphics, and develop campaign assets; collaborate with designers or agencies as needed.
  • PR & brand storytelling: draft press releases, build media relationships, and launch partnerships with NHS trusts; manage digital presence across social and other channels to position Isla as a leader in healthcare innovation.
  • Strategic marketing projects: act as a strategic partner in growth, contribute to high-impact initiatives, pioneer new martech and channels, and streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Team development: prepare to take on people management responsibilities as the team expands.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

  • B2B marketing experience (6+ years): proven track record with sales teams in B2B environments; understands the sales cycle and materials that support pipeline and revenue; strong working knowledge of HubSpot.
  • Content versatility: ability to create structured, insight-driven content across formats; skilled at interviewing stakeholders and packaging insights; AI-forward for rapid production while preserving quality and voice.
  • Creative + commercial balance: ability to think like a marketer and design like a designer; comfortable producing visual content or directing others; proficient with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and AI tools.
  • Ambiguity tolerance: experience in both structured corporate and startup settings; able to bring process when needed and agility always.
  • Self-starter with high standards: proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional work.
  • Team player with hands-on attitude: able to contribute to both strategy and execution in a small team; collaborates and leads as needed.
  • Tools: Figma, Canva, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Drive, WordPress; working knowledge of various AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude).

Nice-to-have

  • Healthcare or NHS marketing experience: understanding of how healthcare organisations make buying decisions.
  • Design background: formal training or extensive hands-on experience with design tools.
  • Startup/agency + corporate mix: ability to operate effectively across environments.
