Maxar is seeking a London-based Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications to join Maxar’s International Government Leadership Team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for driving business through development and execution of strategic marketing plans.

The Role:
As a Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, International Government, your job is to drive and lead integrated marketing and communications plans and thought leadership that support Maxar’s growth. You will be expected to:
Think Strategically
- Create, plan, and execute international government marketing plans and campaigns targeting decision makers and influencers to meet strategic business priorities.
- Monitor competitive marketing campaigns and industry news to understand the landscape and provide updates to leadership and sales teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with international government associations and industry partners.
- Develop and lead creative strategies to showcase Maxar’s government capabilities.
- Collaborate with leadership and regional sales teams to build marketing plans aligned with strategic activities.
Act Tactically
- Lead international government events and tradeshows with strategic plans and collateral.
- Engage proactively with sales teams to develop marketing strategies for key pursuits.
- Review and approve external and internal messaging assets.
- Partner with US Government and US Enterprise teams on media events and campaigns.
- Collaborate across functions to ensure messaging and brand consistency.
- Measure marketing success with KPIs and optimize strategies accordingly.
- Represent Maxar at conferences and speaking engagements, articulating our value propositions.
- Support internal communications for the International Government segment as needed.
Understand Our Customers
- Leverage government industry knowledge to develop strategic marketing plans.
- Demonstrate understanding of government and foreign relations relevant to remote sensing and earth observation.
- Identify key stakeholders and business drivers for international government clients.
- Support key partners/resellers with marketing and communications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
- 8-10 years of related work experience.
- Ability to simplify complex aerospace and defense capabilities into effective marketing messages.
- Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25-40%).
- Ability to manage competing priorities across regions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in government marketing and communications.
- Experience in Earth Imagery or GEOINT markets.
- Success with campaign metrics and KPIs aligned with business goals.
- Leadership and management skills.
- Understanding of business development pipelines and strategic planning.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Multilingual skills in English, Spanish, and others.
- Excellent copywriting and messaging skills for diverse audiences.
- Adaptability and decision-making skills based on feedback and new information.
