We are scaling rapidly and looking for a driven, data-savvy sales and marketing leader to help us reach our next growth milestone.This range is provided by Akre. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.About the RoleYou will lead Akre’s commercial function, managing and growing both retail (individual tree sales via Shopify) and wholesale (bulk supply to forestry and nature restoration projects) channels. You will shape the company’s sales strategy, lead the marketing plan, and over time, grow and manage a high-performing team. This is a pivotal, in-person leadership role based at our HQ in Fife.ResponsibilitiesManage and optimise our Shopify-based online store for direct tree and product sales.Oversee customer orders, fulfilment logistics, and post-sale support.Develop and manage a B2B sales pipeline and close major wholesale contracts.Respond to tenders, negotiate contracts, and build long-term client relationships.Lead our brand and marketing strategy across digital platforms.Collaborate across departments to align sales, marketing, and production capacity.Build and manage a small sales and marketing team over time.Track and report on sales and engagement KPIs to the executive team.Take tree stock counts.QualificationsStrong background in both e-commerce (Shopify) and B2B sales.High proficiency with CRM systems, data analysis, and Excel/Sheets.Confidence using AI tools in sales and marketing workflows.Background in horticulture, forestry, or environmental sectors preferred.Ability to take stock and assess the quality of trees.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams.Required SkillsPassion for sustainability and nature-based solutions.Preferred SkillsExperience in horticulture, forestry, or environmental sectors.Pay range and compensation package£55,000–£65,000 + Bonus package based on performanceEqual Opportunity StatementAkre is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
