OverviewJoin Fastned as the PR & Communications Manager - UK. This maternity cover position is a fixed-term contract for 1 year. You will define and develop the UK PR and communications strategy, positioning Fastned as a major contributor to the UK’s EV future, in collaboration with the UK Country Director, UK Marketing Manager, and the Head of Communications and PR in Amsterdam. The role is part of a larger team focused on reliable, sustainable, clean energy in Europe, with Fastned recognised as a leading charging network.We operate in a hybrid model with an expectation of 3 days a week in our Shoreditch office.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with relevant media, social media influencers, and external partners to secure positive media coverage and keep them informed about Fastned in the UK.Engage with the company and raise awareness of Fastned’s wider European achievements.Position Fastned as a thought leader on the EV revolution and charging infrastructure through events, press releases, blogs, and other communications products.Support the profile of the UK country director in relevant channels and contexts.Proactively and reactively follow up with journalists and opinion leaders.Collaborate with colleagues across Fastned to identify opportunities that accelerate the UK business and develop marketing/media opportunities.Create stories about Fastned and the wider EV industry to strengthen the company’s profile and brand.Lead and manage Fastned UK PR events (e.g., station openings, journalist and influencer events) and Fastned’s presence at external industry events.Monitor media coverage and share relevant stories internally using media monitoring tools.Ensure the UK perspective is represented in wider global Communications & PR strategies.What you bringYou are motivated by Fastned’s mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility and are curious about industry developments. You can inspire internal and external audiences and drive momentum through written and verbal communication.Excellent stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in writing and communications management.A degree in business or a technical background is beneficial.Self-starter mentality and results-driven approach.Ability to think like a founder and take ownership.You should be available to start in November for a 1-year fixed-term contract.
