What the role involves

As a Product Marketing Manager at IOG, you will have experience in hi-tech international B2B and B2C marketing, with a background in blockchain or experience supporting disruptive or emerging technology. You will work with Product Management to understand offerings, identify unique messages, and produce documentation that helps internal and external stakeholders understand our products. You will collaborate with remote Product Management, Product Engineering, Research, Communications, and Creative teams to drive success.

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing Communications to develop and maintain compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with target buyer personas
  • Define and drive go-to-market strategies, partnering with Product Managers and Marketing teams to craft a cohesive narrative and ensure alignment
  • Lead market intelligence by becoming an expert on buyer personas, purchase behavior, key buying criteria, and decision-making processes; use insights to shape strategy and drive results
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, including regulatory and legal aspects, to inform cross-functional decision-making
  • Deliver globally consistent product feature positioning and messaging adaptable for localization
  • Plan and execute impactful global launches for new products and feature releases, collaborating with in-house agencies and external partners
  • Develop and maintain robust marketing assets and sales enablement tools, including presentations, guides, infographics, videos, and competitive positioning frameworks
  • Act as a product marketing expert for IOHK core technologies, supporting PR, social media, customer communications, events, and other marketing initiatives
  • Partner with regional marketing managers to deliver awareness and demand-generation campaigns; represent IOG at events, conferences, and exhibitions as a knowledgeable spokesperson

Requirements

  • Understanding of blockchain ecosystems with knowledge of core components such as consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, and tokenomics; ability to translate technical blockchain concepts into marketing messages for non-technical audiences
  • Experience with decentralized applications (dApps), DeFi, and decentralized identifiers (DIDs); ability to position products within these landscapes
  • Tokenomics and market design experience; ability to communicate value propositions related to token-based ecosystems
  • Community engagement in Web3, including leveraging platforms like Discord, Telegram, and Twitter for marketing and audience engagement
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Proven product marketing experience with a deep understanding of international markets
  • Track record marketing high-tech, emerging, or disruptive technologies in B2B and B2C; startup experience is a plus
  • Experience advancing products from early adoption to mainstream adoption
  • Familiarity with open-source marketing is preferred but not required
  • Process-oriented with a history of collaborative workflows and driving operational efficiencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse stakeholders and customers
  • Proficiency with marketing technology tools (CRM, analytics, content management platforms) and ability to leverage them to drive results
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, especially in remote teams
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, accessible, and compelling messaging for diverse audiences
  • Results-driven with the ability to set and meet measurable goals using data and analytics
  • Skilled in creating engaging, audience-focused content and delivering persuasive presentations
  • Adaptable to emerging technologies, trends, and tools in marketing and communication
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate IOHK’s vision into actionable marketing strategies
