Overview

We are partnering with a high-growth fintech/paytech organisation headquartered in London, backed by tier-one investors and employing over 150 people globally. The business is entering its next phase of international expansion and is seeking a Performance Marketing Director to lead its global growth marketing strategy across paid media, digital acquisition, and conversion optimisation.

This is a senior leadership role that combines strategy, analytics, and hands‑on execution, responsible for driving measurable growth across all paid digital channels and optimising the full customer funnel from awareness to retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a multi‑channel performance marketing strategy aligned to company growth and commercial objectives.
  • Own the paid media budget (PPC, Paid Social, Display, Programmatic, Affiliates, and Retargeting) and deliver strong ROI across acquisition channels.
  • Partner closely with Product, Data, and Commercial teams to optimise conversion rates, LTV, and CPA performance.
  • Build and lead a high‑performing marketing team, developing internal capability across paid, CRM, and analytics.
  • Lead the testing and implementation of automation and AI‑driven marketing technologies to improve efficiency and targeting.
  • Work closely with brand and content teams to ensure consistent creative and messaging across campaigns.
  • Develop and present actionable insights to the executive team, using data to inform strategic decisions and campaign performance.
  • Identify new growth opportunities in emerging channels and markets.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven track record in a senior performance or growth marketing leadership role, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or technology‑led businesses.
  • Deep expertise in paid acquisition, data analytics, and conversion optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of digital attribution models, data tracking, and marketing automation.
  • Hands‑on experience managing substantial budgets (£2m+ annually).
  • Analytical thinker with strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate insights into growth actions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in building and mentoring teams.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, GA4, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Looker/Tableau.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
