Department: Planning & Ops / Marketing Tools

The Marketing Tools Team is essential to supporting eBay's Global Marketing strategy by assisting with innovation, execution, and the establishment of standard methodologies in tool development for our internal and external systems. Our team is composed of creative system architects and developers who excel at rapid thinking, adept problem-solving, and maintaining a strong focus on delivering solutions.

We are currently in search of a talented Marketing Operations & Tools Specialist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing system development efforts, particularly in the realm of AI, System Integrations, and custom development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong collaborative skills, foster a supportive team environment, and be eager to learn and help navigate potential obstacles. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications required for this role.

What you will Accomplish:

• Software Design and Development: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of software enhancements that meet specific business needs. This includes supporting system automations, and pressure testing solutions to ensure these meet required expectations.

• System Analysis: Support the analysis of existing systems to identify areas for improvement and contribute to recommendations for enhancements. This involves understanding user requirements and translating them into technical specifications.

• Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with developers, system architects, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure effective communication throughout the development process.

• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Help identify, solve, and debug software issues, ensuring that the systems function optimally and efficiently. This includes documenting any changes made for future reference.

• Integration of Systems: Assist in integrating new applications with existing systems and ensure data compatibility and flow between various software solutions.

• Maintaining Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive standard methodologies documentation of tools and processes to facilitate future updates and developments.

• Quality Assurance and Testing: Partner with team to conduct various types of testing to ensure software reliability and performance. Work on fixing any identified issues or bugs promptly.

• Security: Support the implementation of security measures to protect systems and applications from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the newest technologies, trends, and standard methodologies in software development and apply this knowledge to continuously improve systems.

What you will Bring:

• University degree or equivalent experience

• 2-4 years of marketing operations experience, ideally in process or tool adoption, or relevant internships/coursework.

• Software Development Expertise: Basic understanding of the system integrations by using zappier or n8n systems. 

• Problem-Solving Skills: Good analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in designing solutions and solving issues.

• Technical Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with development frameworks and tools such as ChatGPT, Monday.com, n8n, Bynder, AirTable, Jira or similar, along with basic experience in using databases.

• System and Architecture Understanding: Basic knowledge of system architectures, design patterns, and standard methodologies for creating robust and scalable software solutions.

• Collaboration and Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners.
